The climbers in cycling races are called "gimpeurs" because of the funny faces they pull when pedalling uphill.

Pinot has 45secs on the peloton. ON THE DESCENT!!!

So happy for him. His anguish on the descents last year were some of the saddest moments of the Tour for me.

I think the only thing that can stop him is if there are some significant head/crosswinds in the final 20km. If there is that plays into the hands of a group.

He's a demon in that type of scenario though, and crosswinds will disadvantage others as well. He just needs to hold on - fingers crossed!

Tony Martin like Cheng laughs in the face of crosswinds.

Gallopin is going for it now with a small gap on the group he was in.

Don't get me wrong. If it was Cheng out in front then I wouldn't even mention it. But Tony Martin hasn't got the experience of carving a hole through the wind that Cheng has.

Why are these commentators talking about giving the jersey away?

Given tomorrow's stage, Astana will get it right back (unless Contador/Porte crush Nibs).

That's true. Cheng doesn't just laugh in the face of wind, he frightens it away.

Never mind all the racing action - where's the Cheng interview?
If he misses the cut we'll never see it......

It's been postponed for fear-mongering about roundabouts.

Looks like Gallopin will get caught by the Rolland group but he's easily got the yellow jersey.
