I wondered what they were doing as well..

I like the use of multi-colour and the way the initial letters are overlapping to ensure enough space for the remainder. Still only a 5/10 for me though.0 -
Not a bad monday morning - http://vimeo.com/100156000
(disclaimer - I did nt remember to switch my wheel around on the fixie and so it was in my "lazy ride to work without geting sweaty as there's no shower" gear and was spinning at about 130rpm by the end. Ballsed up the turn by Westminster too)We're in danger of confusing passion with incompetence

One that particularly irritated me was thi claim Tommy Simpson was from Haworth when they passed there, while it's Harworth in Notts, nowhere near.0 -

Superb! Very representative of these straightened times in which we live. You should adopt it as an avatar FF, I sense it is going to become as legendary as the Dirk Hoffman sign.0 -

Ha ha. An excellent effort FF. Very retro looking with overtones of a student demo from the 70's. The sign's not bad either.
I can see that while writing "Contador" on the top line you were fearful of running out of space and had to really squash the "o" in.0 -
Haha thanks chaps. A quick effort on cardboard (all I had left to write on in my garage) but it's the spirit that counts! And yes, folded for ease of transport...my wife suggested I could dump it rather than bring it home - you should have seen the look on my face : )Contador is the Greatest0

kleinstroker, nice job on getting those two Tinkoff riders. Can't place them yet.

Ladies and gentlemen we have our Tour de France 2014 Camargue Horse!
And so early in the race too.Correlation is not causation.0 -

Yesterday Paul said something about the Dome costing 10s of millions to build and about it being in a Bond film and then Phil literally repeated it word for word and they kept that in the highlights because that's where I heard it! Unless the producers were having a joke at their expense.Correlation is not causation.0 -
To be honest though, I've switched my watching from ES to ITV so I can be confident they'll call the final stages of the race right.
Apart from the mess up last year in Corsica, you can confidently say they'll get the winner. With Carlton Kirby, it's more of a "will probably get it right, but you can't be too sure".
Today will be the clincher, will listen to ES then make a final decision as to my viewing habits for Stage 50 -

Yes that was a classic. I'm suprised we didn't learn that Tom Simpson was born in the Dome0 -

Glad to see Nibs in Yellow but the Jersey isn't a classic. the blue astana patch on the fron isn't doing it for me... Bretagne Seche would be a good yellow... (it's not going to happen is it?)0

Never say never Peril!Correlation is not causation.0 -
We rode out from Peterborough and it was a really decent day out.
Our group was a bit big to be honest but the cycle way from St Ives into Cambridge is car free so we could get away from being singled up and have some chat and banter.
Cambridge had a brilliant atmosphere and we got really close to the race.
The ride back was tougher into the wind but the reception we hosted at Yaxley Football Club had the closing KMs on the big screen and cakes.
The two most popular recovery drinks in cycling, coffee and beer, were also served.0 -

As with smithy21 I question the trousers. I guess you were either nippin straight off to the golf course or a hippy reunion - its hard to tell. :shock:0 -
As mentioned, they are summer shorts not trousers...Contador is the Greatest0

OK they're clearly shorts my mistake . I must read more carefully. That woman though is a man. The whole crowd would not be looking the other way and those look like pants.0 -
