Is it against UCI regs to use some other form of bidons? Those big cylinders must do away with a decent amount of the very marginal gains claimed for the new bike. I know they will dump them for the sharp end of the race - but even so
Yes, as of January 2013 bottles were regulated - there was one from Cervelo, I think, which fitted into a space near the BB and was effectively there to smooth the air - banned pretty sharply.
You'd assume that the frame was designed with bottles in mind; Cervelo did test a little while ago that suggested their bikes were more aero with bottles (standard shape) than without. The aero between the riders spinning legs is not straightforward.
Wasn't the point that a cage with a bottle in it is more aero that an empty cage...0 -

Once it gets a normal paint job, I think it's going to be great. On my 'consider' list.0 -

What is it with that godawful two tone bar tape that more and more manufacturers are insisting on putting on their bikes?0 -

What is wrong with Lappiere bikes? They just don't look right. It seems like someone made a bike from old parts, some aero forks and old GT frame with a try to get aero on a seatpost.
Apart from that,colour is 8)0 -

Wondering if we'll see any previously unannounced or unseen bikes/equipment at the Tour. Most stuff looks to have be trialled elsewhere already. They usually bring out new helmets at least for some companies....0

MTN's bike for Le Tour:
New Bontrager helmet to match the new Madone:
Shallow rims are not a good look on an aero road bike.0 -
New Bontrager helmet to match the new Madone:
I believe that's just the same aero helmet Trek have been using for the past year. Now released to the public.0 -
