Is that a new colnago bike? The back brake seems to be down by the BB. Or have I missed something?

So what happens when your on the bike and you reach round to adjust the caliper now ? - Horrible design and what are the benefits ????

I can barely get my shoes on sitting on the stairs! That was some skill.
I'm left handed, if that matters.

Just discovered that ITV and Eurosport have different ad breaks - can switch back and forth so no ads so far.

Stiffer mounting for the brake? More aerodynamic?

Didn't/don't Trek have the brakes on the BB as well? No magic spanner possible on these. Not that it didn't stop Trek on their Smurf bikes doing exactly that last year during the Tour. I think we had that as an 'Eye-Spy' on one stage, with extra points if it was Haimar Zubeldia riding.

The British public more worried about dirtying their shoes on the grass verge than getting in the way of the riders.

Not too many people. Too many people unwilling to stand on the empty grass verge one metre behind them.

But there was no need for them to be that far forward. There was plenty of unused road behind them. The marshalls need some of that spray that the refs use for the wall in World Cup games (but permenant)

Or if enough people get their phones smashed then maybe there'll be a cultural trickle effect where people will learn to stay back.

Hopefully they will have more barriers out for that.

Nothing to do with how much space is behind them or dirtying their shoes. One person creeps forward to get a better view, then the next and the next... etc. Suddenly the road is only 2 metres wide. There are just too many people.

Sky need to get themselves a bidon rocket pack. Marginal gains and all that.

Yeh, except the Sky one will be made from a rare exotic material that saves 0.001g of weight.
