I reckon if Kelderman crashes or has a mechanical tomorrow then Movistar and Contador are going to put the hammer down.

    Why Movistar?
It was a reference to the football last night.

Not a fan of football but that was amazing. Brought ingredients out to cook at 8.30 and ended up starting to cook at 10.15...

90km nearly 6 mins. De Marchi won similar Dauphine stage last year from a break. He just led over the Corbier.

Contador, speaking about this weekend: "Of course I'm going to try and attack Froome, but just not any old way."

    No Tinkoffs in the break.

Not sure if this means anything, just noticed it

Mods - for about a week I cant access my user control panel. Can you sort this out. Have needed to change to a Contador avi all week.

Sometimes I just can't login at all, or I log in on the main site but can't on the forum.

Last set so hopefully it'll be over soon. Lets hope it doesn't go to a tie break!

Half way up the penultimate climb.
Just about 25kms to go and no live coverage anywhere. :(

either this climb is very tough, the break are knackered, or they're just deciding to try and see who fancies a long go at the stage! They were on a real go slow when the camera cut to them.

I've done most of the roads used in this stage. Not all in the same ride mind you. Done the final climb. It's pretty steep all the way, but I don't think anything gets near 28%.

I can't believe the most important and interesting stage cuts to coverage with 25k to go and its only on Eurosport 2. Not even on Sporza.

    Poor.

Yes we've got Le Mans on our Eurosport too.

    TdS on Sporza.

They’ve been showing the 24 Hours of Le Mans here. Does anyone even watch this stuff? Tennis I can understand.

    Live coverage starting now.

Not really paid attention to it before, but I was confused/amused at two cars in the same team seemingly intent on trying to push each other off the track with only 23.5 hours to go. Bit like Lieuwe Westra trying to put Nibali in to the barrier in the neutralised zone!

Mr Kirby has just said that the whole Eurosport family is together to see the stage now, so maybe it should be on all ES streams now?

Interestingly Roland Garros was more of a cyclist than a tennis player. That was more relevant when the Paris stage of the tennis was eating into Giro coverage, and may not be true but I can't be bothered to check.

Sky have four riders on the front (plus Froome) while Contador is down to one team mate. Trofimov is out front and has a pretty decent lead of around 5:30.

Contador pushing on at the start of the descent. Nibali looks interested as well.

Amazing how effortlessly Nibali just floats away on descents, even from those trying to push the pace.

Wonder if some of the riders in the top 10 (or their teams) will give it a go in the final to protect their places? Silin and Trofimov could find themselves well in to the top 10 at this rate.
