Let's get this up and running.

I'm being lazy today. a 90hr week at work has f*cked me right off, so anyone got an idea of what the route looks like?

Quite looking forward to this.

Shame the Sky bastards aren't letting me watch Tour of Switzerland, but that's for a different thread...

Should be a great race. The main contenders have all been out of action for a while.

Am I the only one who finds the inner ring a bit dull?

    I'm a little disappointed there isn't a massive TT.

Something about a 50km TT and full blown Alp mountain stages all in one week of racing which is good fun.

Seems the 'teens are all about gradients if the '90s were all about TTs.

I think the 90s were all about something else!

    Now less so.

Having looked at the ptp picks there seems to be quite a lot of different views as to how this will work out. A short TT will help keep the main protagonists in play, some tricky MM stages will open it up further, just imagine Fuglsang getting in a break and gaining 3 minutes.

Could be a very interesting week.

    Quite a few.

Reading the Ocana book at the mo'. Very good, if you're interested in that era.

I can't decide whether, purely from a spectator's point of view, having the Froome/Contador/Nibali battle three weeks before the actual battle is a good thing or not.

On the one hand having a big 'reveal' at the Tour is better in terms of suspense. On the other hand if the Dauphine turns out to be a close race and a few extra bits of spice are thrown into the mix then it just adds to the expectation.

If either Froome or Contador wins by a couple of minutes that really undermines the Tour though.

But whatever happens you then get 3 weeks of people debating whether someone has peaked too early.

Whisper it.... No. I think its got duller or I've got more exciting.

Well that's got to be infinitely better than some other discussions going on at the moment.

Awesome isn't it? It's a little bit Les Revenants. Should make for some smashing heli shots, weather permitting. There's a funicular railway up to the damn if memory serves.

The descent is apparently very tricky. Doubt we'll see the GC guys fighting for the win.

Unless Chris Froome smokes it - and that will be difficult in much stronger headwind - Bob Jungels could very well win this stage. #Dauphine

What's up with the coverage? Has anyone else got any. I've got Annabelle Croft on Eurosport and Sporza isn't broadcasting.

    Kwiatkowski 10th.

Even during a short TT Kirby manages to wax lyrical about Cunego's descending skills.

Maybe it would be better to not win as I've never done that before and it could generate some doubts

Yeah looking forward to see what he does later. Kwaitek has been given a carte blanche by the great management at OPQS to do what he wants.
