Anyhow, it is not used in the automotive industry.

  • Good call on the window ledge, but it's not a pressure switch I'm afraid.
  • Dang. I know what this is, but will have to find a new object to post.

It's the little valve piece you snap onto the gas cartridge that is used to power a nail-gun.

Actually, does it attach to something else? Looks to me like the end closest to your fingers is a cover and the opposite ends clip in/on to something?

Nope, definitely not a spacer and not sure what a fixing guide is, but I don't think this is one...

Given the size or lack thereof, wouldn't be much of a substitute.. lol

It looks like it slides into a tube, and the two "legs" spring into pre-drilled holes, kinda how you adjust the height of crutches

Yep, that's close enough, although not for crutches. Doubt this grade of plastic would hold up much..

I've only ever seen this used in a very specific application, which is probably not something too many of you UK based types have ever come across.. :D Fits in the end of an extendable aluminium pole, and the first pair of knobs click into the holes to locate it. The second pair of knobs at the end then click into the swimming pool leaf scoop which sleeves over the pole end.

It looks as if you could use it to open the bleed valve on a radiator, so is it a radiator key attachment on a penknife??
