Close enough I think.
It is a hollow non-contact probe for measuring diameter of precision bores using air back pressure. This is one of the smallest we use, being only 2mm in diameter. It has quite a small measuring range though (only +/- 10 microns away from nominal), but it will resolve to <1/10 of a micron.
