LOLZ!! Did anyone ever work out why some pictures apparently randomly get rotated?

Where are you riding @mrB those are super pics!

Been in the Highlands the last two weeks. The coastal ones are from Arran and then in the Trossachs after that. One day took bikes on ferry across Loch Lomond and rode to Aberfoyle. This morning rode along Loch Katrine which is 13 miles of road closed to cars.

    Back home now though ☹

Only climb that I could not handle. 45%. Simply could not keep the front wheel down. The Scanuppia in Italy.

I was lucky last weekend in choosing the right time to go away, and not only got the right weather, but also got a cycling freedom pass.
I decided to be a cycle-tourist and take my time and lots of photos. It also dawned on me that we could play a game of guess the route.

Question is, is there any appetite for this game and 25 photos before I upload?
The above may be fact, or fiction, I may be serious, I may be jesting.
I am not sure. You have no chance.

    You asked for it! 🤣

    Guess the route. Part 1.
I have held back a couple of landmark photos in case they make it too easy.

Edited to be in the correct order.

The problem with planning an unfamiliar route using road maps. The surface.
The above was one of the good parts suitable for stop/starting. 😱

    Guess the route Part 2.

Anybody fancy their own bit of Strade Bianchi to get to the house?

South of there. Only 77 miles too, 500 in one day? Not me. 🤣

Great photos! I was going to guess Scotland, but would struggle to be any more accurate.

What a trip, those roads look brilliant.

    Cheers!
I'll add the couple of tourist location shots later to make it easier.
The road surface for the second climb and descent was non existent in some patches. Obviously passable on road tyres but very sketchy gravel.
The lack of traffic was bliss!

Okay, obviously harder than I thought.
Here are 2 photos that every tourist to the area will take.

If correct, most likely route probably circuit of Loch Tay and Glen Lyon.

On the right lines with a couple of twists to be different, and harder.

Did you take the private road/track from the farm in Glen Lochay over to Loch Lyon? Have walked down there before coming off a Munro in that neck of the woods.

Well spotted! I did indeed. It's not a private road though, just a storm ruined one with gates for the animals. 😉 I went very slow up, and just about as slow down. 🤣

Last time I was down by that farm doing the Munros on the South side of the Glen I seem to remember encountering an extremely large bull that wasn't too keen on shifting off the track to let me past!

These guys were fenced in at the farm. The other ones later on were free to roam. Sure I've read that the Highland version is placid compared to your run of the mill though. 🤞

The fella I encountered was no Highlander. He was a big white brute. Managed to chart a tactful course around him eventually.

Full course should anyone be interested.
I had intended to go via Keltneyburn but wasted too much time taking photos. 😉

Amulree, Kenmore, South Tay, Killin, Pubil, Bridge of Balgie, Fearnan (diversion), Killin, and return up that climb that hits 27%.
