Some of us are very fortunate with our commutes. One of the reasons I turned down a job offer a few years back, was that I'd have a shorter ride to work, and only through built up areas. Not the only reason, but a big consideration.
  • If you want some pro-level shots (not that these aren't lovely) check out the 'On the road today' thread on weight weenies. Some of those guys are super lucky.

    Got a link Shirley?

I used to take my DSLR out with me on longer rides, but cracked the LCD after a fall so just use my phone now.

Wow, that lacoon person has posted some stunning shots!

Looks like I need to find A/a more scenic commute and B/someone to take some photos of me on said commute :D

    He uses a timer!

So he has to cycle back up the hill to get it again after the shot?

    Fuck that

Use a ~10m long selfie-stick and get the shot in one effort... What could possibly go wrong?

Shirley - Your right, it's a crappy picture of a pylon but it might just about have ben redeemed had you included a bike - ie 'Show us your scenic bike pics!'

If I remember correctly, Arnold Rimmer in Red Dwarf was a collector of pictures of 20th century telegraph poles. You're worse than him!

That'd be quite good without the weeds cluttering the foreground and messing with the horizon. So next time take the trouble to scramble through the ditch and ladder your lycra...

That's a cracking shot Hayden, nice bike too!

Here's one from my ride at the weekend. I reckon it's the last time I'll be seeing weather like this for a while...

Thanks! That is at the top of a decent little hill climb behind my house, looking over towards Forest of Ae yesterday evening. I nearly wet myself when I saw it was 21 degrees again so I rushed home for a ride! Only just got that frame back on the weekend as a warranty replacement for my old Equilibrium, loving it so far. Surprisingly capable as a substitute for my hardtail, not sure how long the wheels will last though...

That looks like a bit of a lighter gravel machine than mine, are you running tubeless? I'm going to go home and cover myself in latex in a minute...

Wow, you’re lucky to have that on your door step! I’ve always wanted to check out Ae, and Mabie too. A bit far South West for me though, since I don’t drive.

Good to hear you’re liking the warranty replacement! What happened to the old frame?

Funnily enough I just did the tubeless conversion on mine last night with some Schwalbe G-Ones, Stan’s sealant & Tesa tape. Was super easy and the tyres seated and sealed first try with no overnight air loss. Considering the rims aren’t tubeless ready it was actually much less faff than when I set up UST rims and UST tyres on my MTB!

Ah I grew up in Bristol, some quality riding down that way.

Ae is good, especially now there are lots of enduro trails about, nice group of extremely fast locals too. They are currently felling the larch off the DH side though so some of my favourites are gone. The trail centre is OK. I'm actually going to Mabie this evening rather than covering myself in latex with a friend who can show me round the unofficial stuff there too, the trail centre stuff is fun on a hardtail.

I snapped one of the pannier mounts off the old frame, maybe due to user error but they upgraded it to the 725 frame and I requested a CdF instead (as I have different needs to when I bought it). Great service from Genesis.

I'll give these a bash tubeless, the tyres are Gravelking SKs which can be run tubeless, not sure on the rims but I'm sure I'll work.

Nice view but all that green on the bike clashes with the landscape (and probably everything else)!

I am not sure. You have no chance.
