    Thankfully Carlton's nowhere near it.

We'll see about that.... That's the one where Si Clarke has a chance, definitely.
Surely Turbo Durbo and Eddy Boss will be your picks

Don't be daft, I only back them in races with climbs, clearly their forte.

Dayer Quintana is surely more your pick for PR. He's DNF'd twice so it must be third time lucky - no?

Movistar are certainly a team with options in these cobbled races.

    Carlton on max-idiot setting today
Napoleon, don't be jealous that I've been chatting online with babes all day. Besides, we both know that I'm training to be a cage fighter.

Max Idiot, who of course rides for Cofidis, alongside Geoffrey (resplendent of beard, TM) Soupe

    @25.5KM to go in DDDP.

Talking about Pozzato today in he De Panne commentary describes him as a former Tirreno Adriatico and E3 winner - bit like describing Geoff Hurst as winner of the 64 FA Cup - I swear he only does it for a reaction.

Am I alone in shuddering when Luke Durbridge is in a break/attack/generally on screen? The inevitability of CK dropping the phrase Turbo Durbo into the commentary was distracting to say the least, coupled with "Philip Gilbert commonly known as Phil Gil" was just too much. Turned over to watch some antiques programme, followed the race on Twitter

I like Durbridge generally. But Kirby makes it awful - Turbo Durbo and Phil Jill must be the worst combination for Kirbyisms.

I missed the race today and may just skip this if CK is involved. Let's hope this means he's not working at the weekend

Also described him as 'big', whilst sitting next to Magnus Backstedt which I thought was a bit rich.

Let's come up with a Carlton Kirby drinking game

    Si Clarke - drink
    Turbo Durbo - drink
    Eddy Boss - drink
    G - drink
...is in the house - down your drink

    Don't forget

    Dust up - drink
Calling the team leaders name when a domestique attacks - drink

I'm sure there's other phrases, I've started to tune him out now
  • Names the team attacking and who they are working for - Drink
Calls the wrong team - Finish your drink

"As you can see" - drink
    "Phil Jill" - drink
    "(orgasmic) ooohhhh" - finish drink

Problem with a CK drinking game is it would be over fairly soon. After a couple of hours of commentary I'd be in a drink fuelled sleep. Which would be amusing for a stage or two, but after a three week tour I'd either be in the Priory (Betty Ford clinic for those readers in the former colonies) drying out or dead through liver collapse.

Remember boys and girls play CK Bingo responsibly.

"Leaning on" (someone else is on the front at that moment) seems to be new and used a lot.

    Say it ain't so. :(
If I played Rich's drinking game with the appropriate blondes :P , I'd not make the Tomke Taaienberg launch.

You mean the cyber motorbike is a bit close to the rider for my liking?
