TBH it will be quite hard to tell on my route as it doesn't really get busy until I hit the Oval. Busier this morning but logic says it is still too cold for true noddergeddon to hit.

I think at the moment we are just seeing the first emergence of the 'turbo-trainer roadie' who has been hibernating in his garage or spare room all winter. There is a preponderance of very clean bikes accompanied by a lot of trying hard.

Not sure if it's started yet but I left slightly later than usual which means the number of cyclists doubles at least once i hit town.

Overtook same guy 7 times this morning over a 4 mile stretch...one of those who has to get in front of traffic at the lights no matter what (by which i mean no matter how slow he is).

Setting my alarm for EARLY FROM NOW ON!!!

Left just after 6 this morning as usual - definitely more cyclists about than there has been all winter (yes I'm taking the moral high ground) & much more apparent once you get beyond the Balham/Clapham arrondissement, which must also be known as the "Allez Man quarter" given the prevalence of rugger/hockey socks on show this morning. Can't imagine how bad it must get later in the morning. Bring on tit Monday I say!

Also why do nodders think it acceptable to not wash their horrible hi-viz crap?

    Its not self cleaning!

Tit Monday is that special day in the year when, for the first time, the temperature rises above that magical point which causes girls getting dressed in the morning to decide to show a bit of skin.

"I was feeling a lot chirpier than usual this Monday morning. Probably because it was 'Tit Monday'."

    "Tit Monday". Excellent. Can't wait!

It's just a hill. Get over it.

Temporary halt to proceedings today, as the roads cleared of people in hi viz riding full suspension mountain bikes.

I even extended my route, doing an extra Ballet School lap in Richmond Park in celebration. Rule number 9 isn't just a rule, it's a way of life......

Yes I think the p * ss and cold kept a few fairweather faffers off the roads this a.m.
I might squeeze in a couple of laps of RP on my way home tonight as it seems to be light(ish) now until about 18.45.

  • Due to early morning decorating duties i'm suffering coming in for close to 9am, my god, what noddery cr4p.

Thankfully some rain is thinning things out but up through Clapham to Stockwell some nodder was properly on the drops giving it some finely time to coincide with traffic chaos and an environment very condusive to death. Good luck to him but I won't be peeling him from inside an HGV's wheel arch.

If anyone wants to organise a SCR painting/DIY party i'm all ears.

What's the led equivalent of a nodder? A plodder perhaps, well they're sure out in force today.

Fav past time of a plodder, dragging a child across busy rush hour traffic, perf between lorries and buses

I have a couple of year round nodders I pass, but no new nodders, although depending on the weather there are now more bikes in the racks at work now!
Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.

Felt like a continuous stream of nodderage on my route this morning. On the one hand, it's quite annoying at traffic lights. On the other, it sure does feel good to be riding in primary overtaking them all. I do need to start wearing sunglasses though, as the hi-viz overload appears to have burnt a hole in my retina.

    +1 :)

Saw my first bike smash today...on nodderville (cable st cs3). Guy coming too fast round a blind(ish) corner...WHAM!

Happened to the guy in front of me...could've been me so in that sense a wake up call. Luckily both ok but the front wheel was buckled to funk of the guy who's fault it was. Bas start to the day for them :(

Lousy with them this morning. Lots of shiny bikes with wheezing geezers on them and wheezy bikes with shiny geezers on them. Bike racks are getting full already.

If it means I get to ride in the sun I'm all for it. Also, strangely, I felt faster this morning in summer bibs... :?

Loampit Hill & OKR was positively flooded with slow moving chicanery. Most were well behaved but there's always one dipstick RLJ

Prize of the day goes to the hipster looking plum who pulled out 2m from behind a stationary lorry into the oncoming traffic lane looking at something on his right... Unfortunately it was straight into my path but fortunately I was able to stop 1 inch from his front wheel (love my new disc brakes :) ) "oh, my bad" he said...

It's certainly in full swing in Cambridge now. And i have to confess to being one of the nodders!

I think i lost my scalp about half a dozen times last Summer in total. Yesterday i lost it TWICE! Once to an old man in the morning, and once to a single speed dude in t-shirt and trainers in the evening! It's enough to drive me back into the car again!

Need to get fit again. Upping the distance next week to 14 miles e/w.

So what's the score with this ICC then? New club?
Saw flyers for it and a couple of jerseys in the LMNH caff when we popped in there to watch Flanders the other day...
