1.17. Lovely climb with great weather.

Hansen now holding Contador's wheel after he caught him. Could be very useful on the descent.

Quintana solo at 25 secs to Contador.

Gap 1 10. Contador needs to catch them before the top. That will then make 5 on the descent.

Either way, all the riders behind will be riding solo or in small groups.

    Old school.

50 secs - he wont bride just before the top as they have just crossed it. King has decided to make a move as he is tried of pulling those two up the entire climb. Excellent riding by him.

Kwiatek is totally smoked. Seriously smashed. 4mins to Contador. Pedalling squares. Shame.

Take note - Cancellara is with Kwiatek. Brilliant form from him.

    What do you mean 3km?

FYI, I am a huge fan of Kwiatek.

He shouldn't be allowed to descend fast, it's dangerous.

    Yours,

    Contador has dropped Hansen.

43 secs to the three up front.

    4mins still to Kwiatek.

Pozzo, Quintana, Nieve, Peraud and Caruso are the chasers.

Contador took on two bottles to make him go faster on the descent.

Contador has 40 secs on the chasers.

35 secs from Contador to the three out front.

Nice four way split-screen going on.

This is fascinating. Quintana's group are all very capable. Contador has been immense, but has he gone too early bearing in mind what is behind him. Kwia looks done for.

I love listening to the French commentators. Echoing all my opinions on racers Nibali and Contador.

I've never taken to Bertie but fair play to him he's giving it a go. I'm wondering if Kwiatowski is suffering with whatever Porte has got, he seemed completely empty.

Poels and Uran I think are with Kwiatek. Cancellara must surely have dropped them.

No he is not ill. Just the racers took it up from the base of the climb like I said. He fought hard but his time will come soon enough. He is having a fantastic year so far.

Wiggins will probably finish in the gruppetto.

The five chasers are taking turns but there is no sense of urgency. Looks like Contador fried them.

Contador has his race face strapped. Balls out aero. Blows past the three in front who are now on his wheel. He is not asking for turns - just head down and racing hard to the finish.

The French commentators just said he has tape covering his srm.
