It's hard to see past Kittel at the moment, he's a powerhouse and is riding for a pure sprinters team with a dedicated train.

    Mouthwatering preview.

"Tinkoff-Saxo is bringing their A-team to Tirreno-Adriatico this year and Contador will be able to count on the support from strong riders such as Roman Kreuziger and Nicolas Roche. The team has red-circled this race on their race calendar and I would be surprised not to see Alberto Contador on podium today - as well as overall."

And Quintana... Such a pity Froome's after-sun skin care regime let him down so badly.

And it appears Cav is struggling with getting into the right position. And there are also some good, young sprinters coming of age like Demare, Bouhanni, Coquard, Hofland et al.

I have to agree with Paul . Kittel beat Cav fair and square last year and I see no reason why he can't do it again.

I am hoping Cadel or Horner will try something early and blow the race apart.

Lets see some aggressive riding and not all wheel sucking each other until the last few km's

Nasty descent moment there for Brandle IAM. Now a full drift from Mondory. Also Lutsenko with about 1 min ahead of group. 25km to run.

Edit - Mondory bins it. Nasty. Movi massed at head of chase.

Shaken up but back on the bike. Shame that but he was pushing it on the descent there.

16km 1m gap bottom final climb.

    Wiggo still in touch.

Was that Amador with the priceless WTF look as Wiggo grinned alongside?

10k left. Porte on his own vs 6 movi, 3 QS, a few Saxo. Odd.

You carry on without me. I'll catch up.

This is nonsense. Kreuziger easing away from Poels(!) heading chasers for Kwiato.

Enormous group of about 50 30s behind special K. 3km left.
