Well worth a read about Tommy Prim. Must admit I had never heard of him. Sounds like a pretty amazing rider.
One of a small number of extremely talented Swedish riders who found a place in Italian cycling in the 70's and 80's, it's worth reading up on the Pettersson brothers and Knut Knudsen.
Living in Sweden, I started to hear about him and see his name in magazine articles, but didn't know that much about him. But then one of the Swedish magazines had an interview and biographical article about him, which was interesting, but then I was lucky enough to ride with him on a sportive a few months later! He was so smooth and still incredibly powerful, and riding one of his Bianchis from the 80s (preparation for L'Eroica or something similar he said). Really nice guy!Brim Cycling Channel - My YouTube Channel

Post it on the Derby thread I suppose as it is an info photo rather than a quality photo.

There was a solo photo of Froome posted on the forum not long ago I've been trying to find. Front view sprinting out of the saddle, in Sky colours and with a distinctive heavily modified background. Froome's forearms looked particularly muscular. Anyone got it ?0

Nah. Usually someone uses a pic from his Barloworld time e.g British Nats pre-2010.0 -

Got any more info on this one? In what way was the background modified, is he on a TT or road bike, is he partially or fully in the photo, front/side view, sky jersey or leaders jersey etc.Richmond Racer 2 wrote:Nah. But Jered would see and capture that moment on the hill when one feels like an old man but looks like a scared child. I have only once been photographed by a truly great photographer and I hated the shots - but family and friends all loved them and said they encapsulated an essence of me. As I thought that of all the shots of everybody else I realised that it must be true even if I didn't like it. But I am still tempted...0 -

Thanks, that's is the picture I had in mind. I wanted to compare his physique with other riders like Wout Poels and Andy S. There seems to be an assumption amongst some that Froome is the thinnest rider. That clearly is not the case !

Tekle has some veins. As for Froome, Poels and possibly Schleck are thinner although they both have naturally slim physiques.Contador is the Greatest0
