    £1199 for a Ultegra 6800 equipped bike

I has one of these. Bought entirely because the geometry is pretty unique in the market at the mo and fits me. Lovely ride - very comfy, light and responsive. Full Ultegra 6800 for £1200.... Scalp plenty of people on carbon bikes... :D

I'm hankering after a Canyon. Actually have a meeting with them (for work) in a few weeks. Heart set on a CF SLX with EPS. Perhaps for next year though as I am dirt poor at the mo. Plan is to buy a frame and then build up myself with parts bought on trade. Don't need wheels either so should be able to save a few ££'s.

A mate got the top end CF SLX with Super Record EPS last year after the Bike Whisperer gave him some sizing guides that the Canyon matched. Only had good things to say about it. Light as a feather and looks the part too. Pretty sure my next upgrade will be the slightly more modest CF SLX with Di2.

    drool

Also - CF SLX frameset is £1,327.03 (instead of £1,659) if you show them a valid race licence.

I'm veeeery happy with my canyon ultimate cf 9.0. Got a bargain courtesy of dhope IIRC.

Only the tiniest of complaints - super stiff front end (which has since been addressed apparently) and the seat post nut bolts you have to get off the internet directly from canyon.

Noticed when you bump into another canyon rider there's a fair bit of mutual smugness going on. Very keen.

those ultimate ALs are nice, although the roadlite is probably dead close in quality/feel

what about a kinesis Aethin? they do a really nice burnt orange one, you could build it yourself with 105 or tiagra from merlin and whatever wheels you fancy for the budget.... all black finishing kit and bartape to highlight the frame.... mmmmm

Thousands of miles covered on my alu Prorace including sportives (Etape, Dragon, Fred Whitton), races, time trials and a hell of a lot of commuting. This appears to be the current equivalent (although with - ugh - Shimano, but I think that works for you).

Not sure where you'd stand on the name - its a bit girly, but you might like riding something that sounds a bit like a porn star no?!

Kinesis Racelight frame for £195. 105 groupset for £300. Leaves another £500 for the rest of it. Should be able to get a bike out of that lot.

    You're not wrong.

Went light red / pink in the wash and picked up a pair of retina melting burnt orange trou in the sale. Matches my brushed aluminium MacBook Air and everything.
