That's a point, could you adjust pitch size between home games to suit a more open/defensive game, depending on the result you were aiming for? Or do you have to declare your pitch size at the start of the season?Pinno, מלך אידיוט וחרא מכונאי0

No idea, never measured it. Is there some geeky website that posts club pitch dimensions?
That said, I'm not sure pitch width is a major factor in player selection.

It is from last years premiership but it gives an idea. There's just over 1200 sq.yards difference between the biggest and smallest!

Exactly, if you get a reliable centre half for the next 12-13yrs it's peanuts. Remember Luke Shaw was £32m. If Everton had any brains they'd say £35m plus Oscar. Imo of course.0 -

He does look a very good young player....English too, which will push his value up even higher.
He was very good against us on Sunday, as were Everton as a whole tbf.
It will be interesting to see what Everton do now. They don't have to accept his request of course, but do they keep a player who wants to go??
They will probably play a bit of last day hardball with this, a bit like they did with Lescott.
