Interesting fact for football fans.
Most people know that The Proclaimers are massive Hibs fans and that their fantastic song Sunshine On Leith is sung at games. But something a lot of you do not realise is that many years ago , brothers Craig and Charlie both worked as groundsmen for the club.
They got the sack after players complained that the grass was too long and it ruined their passing game.
The brothers blamed this on DIY store B and Q
They went to Bathgate no mower, Linwood no mower, Irvine no mower, Lochaber no mower, Sutherland no mower, Lewis no mower, Skye no mower...

If I was an Arsenal or Liverpool fan I'd be worried. Once City take top spot, particularly this late on in the season, they have a habit of getting over the line. Can't see where they will drop points over the last few games.

Yep, looks a bit ominous.

The spuds away is the only banana skin. Spuds are either good or poor. Maybe, just maybe, they have too many rods in various fires.
Brighton might just turn up. They were on a helluva run now gone sour.

Would be hilarious if the 115 charges were brought to bear next week.
Not gonna happen though.
The above may be fact, or fiction, I may be serious, I may be jesting.

Would agree with that, they have just been so erratic of late though I can't see them turning in the kind of early season performances they had.
Shame that Brighton have tailed off. Wonder if this will give Liverpool pause for thought on De Zerbi as a potential Klopp successor?

Still yet to see a plausible explanation as to why this has taken so long. Plus, if found guilty they won't have any retrospective punishment yet they would have benefitted from their indiscretions in previous seasons where a deduction could theoretically have cost them a trophy.

Liverpool should hire Wenger. He'll get the 4th place year in, year out.

Whilst the likes of Everton with a much lower budget than City got hammered. I actually hope Dyche does keep them up.

If you're watching the footy this evening, that doesn't look likely 🙂

All in all, a pretty good weekend of footy 😎

Palmer looking good. Must be a guarantee for the England squad. I’d prefer him to Watkins or Toney should something happen to Kane before/during euros. Very cool in front of goal.

In spite of last night, I suspect he will. The final relegation place is obviously between Luton, Forest and Everton. They are all capable of producing an unexpected win, and also looking totally hapless from one game to the next!
Of the 3, Everton do seem the slightly more consistent and Dyche has a knack of being able to get players to put a terrible performance behind them and find something for the next game.

I would take Palmer and also have Toney over Watkins. Watkins has been great for Villa, but he one of those players that just looks a touch short of international class when he plays for England. Toney's movement and positioning seems more attuned to international football, he is one of those players that you fancy to nick a goal when he gets an opportunity.

If Everton hadn't been docked points they would be clear and safe. Their problems aren't on field.

Agreed PB, but unfortunately for them the points deduction has put them in a relegation battle and one or two slip ups like the horror show of last night could be a disaster for them.
I agree though, they should still end up being safe.

Everton's board problems seem to be perennial.

I can't help but think this is simply (or at least partly) a case of how much money either party can throw atthe legal case with City's financial backing giving them a bottomless pit of resocurce that the Premior League would be unable to match . . . unless such spending falls under FFP

I have read in various places that City have used every legal trick in the book to delay (which if true would hardly be surprising). I appreciate it is 115 charges against the single charge Everton faced, but even so this should have had a timeline imposed on it to resolve things.

Palmer is on fire. Why Mancheater Shity sold him I'll never know.

To be fair I’d not heard of him before Chelsea. Needed a chance of first team action to show what he could do.
what was all the business about arguing over who’s taking the penalty? Took some shine off a good display.

Kids squabbling...sounds like Poch read the riot act to them afterwards.

Arsenal should have been in charge of Brexit - they get out of Europe every year without even negotiating 😀

City were too good last year despite trying to bottle the final. This year they weren't.

lol, you know you are sh*t when even Ben White can score two against you.
Maybe Chelsea could find another £100m and buy this Havertz chap?

Even if we don't win the league (which is the probable outcome unfortunately) , this stuffing is tonic. Arsenal only played 3 days ago as well. Without rotation, it could have been 10-0.
Come on Brighton/Spuds (whodathunk?!)/West Ham...
