Without jumping on the purring about Bellingham bandwagon, and I’m not because I was purring 2/3 years ago. If he stays fit with the right mindset, he’s on course to be the greatest English player.

    England were pretty impressive tbh.

Bellingham obviously, really very very good, but Foden and especially Kane were great too.

Nice to be able to watch Bellingham in an actual match and not on the highlights.

I don't see it likely his mindset will change, and I also think playing in Spain is very much the right decision, and I hope he stays there indefinitely (As he claims he wants to) and continues to build on his evident skills.

I hope not. He seems like a winner, working hard to improve while soaking up all the knowledge he can. Don’t know how he keeps a level head to be honest. I’d be an insufferable, arrogant, lazy prick at 20 years old with that talent, wealth and praise.

Agreed, earing that amount of money would easily distract most people, and arguably has done for many previously.

I would imagine his grounding is based on his parents, and the family and people around him - presumably/hopefully a lot of that support network has gone across with him to Spain, but I guess it will become evident in the next year or two whether anything changes materially with his approach/attitude.
If it doesn't, continues to improve, and as you say stays fit, looking to potentially be one of those once in a generation and inspirational players.

Combined with his distracting run diagnonally and then you could see how much it meant to him afterwards.

    Great to see.

First time I have been this enthused about the mens team for several years.

Thinking about it, probably more like 15 - 20 years.

And we did the European trophy dodgers a favour tonight by mashing the Spuds, so say thank you Chelsea :)

  • I was on a train home after a Villa game last year. There was a Villa fan talking very loudly about how he lived a few doors from Bellingham's parents and knew them well (classic brummie b***s******). He was claming Jude was off to Liverpool, it was a done deal, Bellingham's dad had told him personally 😂

As above, JB is on course to be an England great. He is already a leader at Madrid and will become so for England. Teams that win a WC or euros tend to have a match winner that leads them to the trophy, I have a feeling Bellingham is that player for England.

Englands greatest goal scorer Harry Kane settling in nicely at Bayern. 3 hat-tricks and a goal from inside his own half. It’s an easier league and the Bundesliga is always going to suit a decent centre forward but an exceptional start nonetheless.

  • It still baffles me that anyone criticises Kane, his goal scoring record plus his all round game and technical skill is world class. Along with Benzema and Lewandowski he is in a small trio of the best 9's of the last decade.

. . . I can't think of another transfer whereby both the sellers and the buyers appear to have benefitted as much as Spurs and Bayern

Man U fans in the office seem to be keeping quite a low profile these days...

Is a competition between Manu fans & Chelsea as to who can keep the lowest profile? 😂

Listening to Talk Sport while in the shower and they were discussing Ratclffe's buy-in to ManU. They had a French sport "expert" who was explaining that he would bring in backroom staff used in other sports.
Cycling was mentioned as was finishing 6th in the league being not too bad.
Sounds about right, but not something I'd tell the fans.

Shitty and chel$ea left. More excitement for Chelsea fans off the pitch than on.

With a HMG regulator coming in the pressure to sort FFP seems to be having an effect.

Last nights match against Malta was a bit dull - at least it was a win. Hope Monday's game against North Macedonia is a bit better...
