Pellegrini was right when he said it was a "fake game", it should have been 7 or 8-1.
It was the only thing the f*****g idiot DID get right though :?
As soon as I saw the starting line up I knew we were in for a tonking!
Leicester top of the league eh? Who'd have predicted that??Statistically, 6 out of 7 dwarves are not happy.0 -
Well, Barca stuffed Real at the Bernebeu 4 - 0. Iniesta was cream of the crop as he carved through the midfield. Suarez scored 1 great goal and finished a superb move off for the second. Messi on the bench too.
Cannot see any teams getting past them in the CL.
Benitez must be feeling the pinch. 6 points behind after 12 games.seanoconn - gruagach craic!0 -

Kinda makes it even more embarrassing that Chelski are languishing in 15th then, really!Statistically, 6 out of 7 dwarves are not happy.0 -
Is this the weakest the Premier League has ever been? All of the traditional top 4 look capable of losing to anyone.www.conjunctivitis.com - a site for sore eyes0

I think you have the right side though. The above may be fact, or fiction, I may be serious, I may be jesting.
I am not sure. You have no chance.Veronese68 wrote:PB is the most sensible person on here.0 -

True but given they seem all too eager to lose to the smaller European teams as well I think i've got it the right way round!www.conjunctivitis.com - a site for sore eyes0 -

Well Courtinho was sublime. Klopp still gets we weren't perfect
Hodgson is going to have to eat his words and play Vardy as a striker should he be picked.
Chelsea finally managed that win, but as mentioned all good things come to those who wait/has to happen one day. That Lukaku can score can't he ;0
Pellegrini was humble and honest
De Gea the best bit of business this season. Wonder what will happen in Jan (probably nothing)
Saints and Arsenal....0 -
Given the past success of me supporting small unfashionable teams, today I'm rooting for the plucky little Scummers"I spent most of my money on birds, booze and fast cars: the rest of it I just squandered." [George Best]0

Got to cheer on the plucky teams playing against the teams much higher in the league. The above may be fact, or fiction, I may be serious, I may be jesting.

My expectations for spurs are so negative I feel like even casting us as the favourites is a curse that will result in our failure.
I will just say this though.... Santa... I've been a good boy this year (for the most part)... I won't ask for much... Just a win for Spurs today... Oh, and a set of zipp 303's...
There's not many sweeter victories than one over the scum of west London! Come on you spurs!!!Cannondale caad7 ultegra

Should be interesring, though have to say feeling a bit edgy about this one as the Spuds form seems to vary quite randomly. Let's see if we can at least beat the second best team in North London If not, we might just have to buy Harry Kane
Out of interest, who do the Arsenal fans want to win today? :P"I spent most of my money on birds, booze and fast cars: the rest of it I just squandered." [George Best]0 -
A draw please.
Given a preference, Spurs.
I noticed your ff team scored 3 points yesterday Stevoseanoconn - gruagach craic!0 -
A draw it is then. Chelsea should be happy with that result more than Spurs. If we don't get champions league this season then it'll probably come down to the draws we've had vs the weaker teams.
With regards Harry Kane stevo, I'd assume if he left Spurs it'd be to a team in the top half of the table at least!Cannondale caad7 ultegra

Pleasure to have taken 2 points off you. But given a club with Spurs' ambitions, surely you'd be happy with the Europa league again next year?
I'm sure Kane would be chuffed to play for a team that has actually won a few trophies recently"I spent most of my money on birds, booze and fast cars: the rest of it I just squandered." [George Best]0 -

Ha! Footballs a bit more fickle than that I'm afraid. Last years glories are soon forgotten... As morinho is going to find out at some point in the near future!Cannondale caad7 ultegra

I remember taking the tribe up to Norfolk quite a few years ago. One day without any prompting my daughter burst into the 'Battling Banjos' tune. Perhaps it was the large number of old battered Vauxhall Astras with canoes strapped to their roof that did it.Always be yourself, unless you can be Aaron Rodgers....Then always be Aaron Rodgers.0 -
Now here's a thing, I was just perusing players who had risen through the ranks to play at a high level. The first player that came to mind was Jermain Defoe before the inevitable Jamie Vardy, starting at Stocksbridge Park Steels, whoever the feck they are.
Any other players to add to the list?seanoconn - gruagach craic!0 -
I suppose the one that springs to most people's minds is Stuart Pearce.0
-
Ian Wright.
Chris Smalling is another current player, he was non-league before joining Fulham.0 -
If this is about players that came up from non league then Jermaine Defoe certainly did not. West Ham nabbed him from Charlton as a kid then packed him off to Bournemouth on loan.
Chris Waddle who was working in a factory and playing non league before Newcastle signed him.0 -
-
Neville Southall - Bangor City to Conwy Utd to Winsford Utd to Bury to Everton. Probably one of the finest keepers of his generation (and one of the largest!!!)0

I'm gonna stick my neck out here and predict that the Cherries are gonna grab 3 points at Stamford Bridge on Saturday. Three reasons for this outrageous prediction. 1. Chelsea are normally hopeless prior to their midweek Champs Lge game. 2. Seems that some of their players go out on the lash 48hrs before a Prem game. 3. Cherries have got their confidence back and their goal scoring boots back on.
Just seen that it's the live game on Sky Saturday evening. So even Sky think Bournemouth can beat Chelski.
Come on Cherries!Always be yourself, unless you can be Aaron Rodgers....Then always be Aaron Rodgers.0
