Self catering flat is as hot as hell with little or no draught. Windows are wide open but the local boy racers are out in force

Looking forward to seeing the discoloured moon.

    Nothing. Too square.
Malt in hand helps mind. And the thought of an early morning pedal after a hard weeks work...
The above may be fact, or fiction, I may be serious, I may be jesting.
I am not sure. You have no chance.

I have pedalling plans tomorrow but the weather may otherwise scupper them.

Sh1t i'm whacked. Decided to treat and underseal the van. 2 days in and not finished. Run out of Bilt Hamber Hydrate 80. It is the dog's danglies.

CC - where art thou brother?

What was the attraction of that place you drove to that was far away Hoppy? What was Marmalade ice cream like?
Back to Narfuk again soon Stevo?

I was garnering brownie points off the MiL. Mrs H3 can't stand being within 2 metres for longer than 30 minutes. MiL also whinges about "never" seeing the kids. I was covering all the bases.

Marmalade gelato was amazing. You have to like marmalade.

    I like Marmalade.
Mrs H3 can't stand being within 2 metres of the Mil or you?!

You'd love marmalade gelato. I've never had such a delicious ice cream.

She can't stand her own mother. I'm ok in small doses.

Funny that, my OH is the same with her mum.

So you had scintillating conversation in the car all the way there and back I take it? Or... more likely, distraction stuff - the weather, kids, summer hols, the yoof of today etc etc blah blah.

Planning an early night for an early cycle. The wife channel surfs and finds A Few Good Men.
Not seen that in a long time.....now my malts appear to be evaporating.....

She talks, I grunt. I like her partner, he's an interesting guy. Art historian, photographer, bit of an autodidact. He spends his life ignoring her too.

I'm anything for an easy life, so if I have to spend an afternoon grunting to avoid confrontation, I'll do that. I'll listen to stories about people I don't know, and nod politely. It's no skin off my nose. Mrs H3 moans and bitches through the whole performance with out realising she's actually just the same.

I anticipate dull, with a hint of boredom and a sprinkle of a 4 sides with equal length this evening.

It's a gorgeous evening. Sun is setting leaving a glow. I fear the last of summer is upon us and I have a winter bike in need of TLC. Or do I just ride it and hope it doesn't fall apart?

    What you drinking tonight Hoppy?
Are yew in da house CC?
Out of your Fox hole (with kind permission of the other half only on account of the Friday night soap fest) Bally?
Decided on a new mota Stevo?
Which one of MF is turning up?
Early night for you TLW 'cos the OH is running tomorrow?

    I would mention Blakey P.
    But would require two sentences.

Couple of Aspall Premiers pre and with dinner to be followed by Glenfiddich Solera.
Cycling over, maybe a film to watch and a 100 mile hilly pedal tomorrow.

Hullo Pinno and any other lurkers. Having been relatively abstemious all week, I opened summat nice from the Languedoc to go with a nice rare bit of bavette.

    http://www.coutelou.fr/en/ is the producer.

It's their 7 rue de la pompe cuvee, which is mainly syrah with a dash of red Grenache. It's really rather good. But I am a fan of the producer, who is a bit of a hippy.

I shall mainly be re-watching an episode or two of the detectorists, plus one of Paul Whitehouse and the one that isn't Vic Reeves going fishing.
