If I had the money this is the bike I would get, such a good frame, it's two steps up the ladder from my one. Looking forward to a certain Mr Cancellera destroying some cobbles on one of these soon...

TdU Classic highlights on Sky now ... The Lotto kit is easily the best of those who made noticeable changes ... Garmin kit looked good in pics but just looks a bit messy on the bike ...

  • Err...
The Pro Collection range will include a mesh jersey (that appears to have the same construction as Froome’s skinsuit)

    Mamils in mesh!

Agreed. And Giant-Shimano doesn't look bad either. Garmin kit with the red and white strips on the right shoulder looks very messy... goes to show that a kit that looks good standing up doesn't always when on the bike. Getting the shoulders right seems to be key...

Despite just buying a Giant bike I am worried that the pro team will look just like NUFC on a trainig session.

Seen a message on fb that Sky are on Wahoo Turbos this year - they do seem to be going for the smaller brands this year...PR thing maybe?*

(*but for who i s'pose too)

I think it works either of two ways, either Sky are convinced that the product is in someway superior and want them or they have been "incentivized" by Wahoo to use them...thousands of UK MAMILS are buying online as we speak.

Interesting to see Gaimon is still keeping his personal sponsorship with Spy Optics and not going for the POC ones- can't blame the fella.

Seat post just looks wrong going into the frame. That seat tube is just ugly .

Agreed. It's a bit of a throwback to when frames first started going "a bit aero" ahead of seatposts. Shame because I like the frame

The way the seat stay curves is just wrong and the chain stay is massive looks way to big

None of the lines flow into each other.

    To much going on.

I can live with all of that but I think they should definitely have gone ISP. Having said that it's probably been done to allow as much in the way of off the shelf seat post options as possible. Anyway I doubt they make it in a 64cm so it isn't going to be an issue for me!

Don't think it's ISP, but definitely aero. Zoomed in there looks like a bolt of some description at the rear
  • Looks like a standard pin at right diameter with special paint on it. Someone must have forgotten it for Australia - bet Madiot's happy with that - in fact in the photo you can see the blood pressure rising :-)

    No, not about PR.

"We need this feature" = "Sure. We will get it implemented" - that's what will come from the new partnerships in Stages and Wahoo. Both companies seek guidance on developing their products and what they need to improve.

No point in big partners if nothing can be supplied to match requirements.

fair enough JSCL - I wondered if it was the bluetooth connection thingum that was the key.

Can't deny that it's good PR for Sky to be helping the little guy a bit and advertising money can't buy for said little guys...

In a year when the lampre kit is actually fairly good, that's shocking. The WC jersey would probably have looked ok over these bibs
