  • It is hard to believe the Garmin riders are actually going to compete in time trials wearing those helmets. Aerodynamics be damned. No rider should be forced to wear these monstrosities. I hope POC are paying for a counsellor for the Garmin riders this year because they are going to get some serious abuse from their colleagues in the bunch over those skid lids. And what's with the "Man from Atlantis" gloves?

The kit looks better when on the bike, I think the asymmetric look is not that bad to be fair.

And I thought it was a disaster when I lost one of my white and one of my black arm warmers.

    Seriously!

The one on the bike is Rowe, and then the shoes on their own (with black socks) are Frank Schleck (it's written on the heel)
  • I really don't understand the Poc hating in this and other threads.

Their stuff is funky, fresh and different.

    Do we fear change ??!!

There have been some great new helmet designs, I'm not even a hater of the aero helmets like the air attack I saw one in the flesh (polystyrene) and they aren't that bad.

Those POC TT helmets and their sunglasses just look absolutely awful, like someone has a swing bin lid on their head. The normal POC helmet is OK, wouldn't be my choice but it's not hideous. Those sunnies Ryder had for the tour were an absolute joke.

There's by definition nothing necessarily positive in any of those 3 words.

This guy calls himself Funky, is probably fresh and most certainly different. But he also plays techno music and looks like a right t'wat...

Do we fear change? In this case, thankfully yes..

I thought I'd made it clear that I was the governing power regarding what's cool and what's not so much.. I will not accept any further positivism regarding POC-gear. If so, a swan will wake up without its feathers monday morning. And Denmark is not an entirely warm place around this time of the year...

    Consider yourself warned.

I have to say whoever it is has achieved the impossible...he has managed to make the Mavic Cosmics look even worse and more noticeable than their creators could every have hope for. High praise indeed.
