Wonder if the Swiss and Belgians are thinking that they don't fancy towing Sagan to the line?

It would be interesting to know how many "race fans" have switched off now the Brits have disappeared. I quite like it as it reminds me a bit of when this sport was unfashionable.

Yes not many Dickie Davies world of sport fans on here YP 8)

That's what got me racing back in the '70's :D
  • Froome saying this was a huge obj and he trained v hard. He pulled out because of the rain and because he had no team mates. Total lightweight.

Didn't know he was in the peloton still.

If so, would give the hesitation some context.

    Same format innit.

    Likely a similar course too.

why is Jill Douglas mentioning Rio to Froome? No one uses the Worlds as an experience race for the Olympics. Let alone a race 3 years away.

Men's race currently slower than the Women's race.
  • Iglinsky is there. He knows how to win after 250ks.

I saw a Slovakian jersey in the bunch. Can't imagine it would be the other Sagan or anyone else.

is Sagan still in there? Announcer at the course just said he was, but ive not seen him, nor seen his name on the time splits.
http://www.snookcycling.wordpress.com - Reports on Cingles du Mont Ventoux, Alpe D'Huez, Galibier, Izoard, Tourmalet, Paris-Roubaix Sportive & Tour of Flanders Sportive, Amstel Gold Xperience, Vosges, C2C, WOTR routes....
  • Geraint Thomas look a very strange colour there.
  • GB squad should spend more time in uk rather than monaco. Might make them know who to ride in the rain.

Bike switch so no transponder. Same as Fabu and various others.

To be fair to her, Rod Ellingworth did say they intended to use today as a dry-run for Rio. The conditions put a stop to that though.

Yes. He's in the blue Slovak jersey with the green Cannondale helmet. His bike doesn't have a transponder, so isn't coming up on the timings.
