Would have thought that Contador & Valverde would have both sent men up the road and put the ball in froome's court...Massive fail from both ?

Confess Carlton called that last km rather well....

Utter Failure from Saxo and Movistar, Utter Utter failure! Awesome ride Chris Froome!!

Totally agree - seems Froome learned a lot more about Valv and Quintana than they learned about him.

    big hats for Martin :P

An hour behind I believe. And I'm sat in Normandy as we speak, should be roadside for stage 11 and in Fougeres before the start of 12.

Is it common for teams to change/switch bike suppliers at all?

Top man Dan. Showed real racing smarts and pure ability to win that.

Not sure why everyone (cept Frenchie I think) was calling Fulsang in a sprint. Martin has a proper kick.

Only 182 riders classified so far on letour. Kiryenka is not one of them and there are rumours he was outside the time limit.

He has been really hit and miss this year. Some superb performances and then some where he can't hold pace for very long at all.

Only one I can think of Is AG2R switching from Kuota last year to Focus this year.

Yes - For example Sky are rumoured to be changing to Specialized next year, but obviously they are still under Contract to ride Pinarello & Rapha could not advertise the fact that they took over from Adidas until the contract had run its course on Dec 31st last year.

Bit of commotion at Sky bus as David Lopez seemed to fall as he was getting off his bike... seemed ok, though.

    Confirmed

Sadly Vasil Kiryienka missed the time cut on stage nine at the #TDF and will not be able to continue after the rest day

Maybe Portal was blackmailing his old team into not attacking.

slightly despondent after yesterday. The Lantern rouge and mountains seem to be the only jerseys left to fight for.

Hows that working out for you?

    :D:D:D:D

I suppose you'd like to comment on how well the Spanish and Movistar riders have recovered so quickly or how Spanish cycling is strangling the sport?

    No? Thought not...

That was a cracking stage win for Dan Martin! I am so pleased for him! LOL @ his scamper-like sprint to the line! I thought Fuslang would take him for sure.

    Yay! :)

Well done him though - great victory.

It's funny how there aren't any posts on here talking about Movistar doping, but if Sky do something similar it definitely means they're doping.

Shame for Pete crashing, didn't see it but seemed nasty.

Course theyre doping theyre Spanish ffs

BTW - didn't get to watch the TdF until 30KM to go because we've had friends around for lunch. WTF happened to Team SKY? Couldn't believe it when I saw CF on his own.

You missed an absolutely crazy stage. You'll have to scroll the thread, but Froome road alone for over half the race.
