Your order is currently being processed and will be handed over to UPS within
the next 48 hours. You will then receive a confirmation of dispatch from us by e-mail together
with the tracking number of the consignment. The tracking number allows you to
constantly monitor the status of the consignment via Internet.
With best wishes,
The Canyon Team
But with the TdF and everything.. you won't have time to ride it?!
It's with UPS - he'll be lucky to get it before the Vuelta.
In the meantime, he'll miss much of the Tour as he watches online as his consignment travels the four corners...
I have a nerdy fascination with the logistics of shipping. I love tracking orders all over the place. But then you might have realised I'm a bit weird already.
Back to cycling, the offical @letour saying that Quintana went down, it is not saying anything about Porte and Pinot.Correlation is not causation.0 -

At least these days he's learnt to steer clear of the press until he's blown off a bit of steam. When he did come out and speak to the press I thought he was fairly gracious in saying he got beaten by Greipel because he was really strong today, rather than saying it was only due to the crash. A reporter asked him about his bike inferring that it was because she'd heard him yelling on the bus and he brushed it away saying he was angry and disappointed.
I think the biggest factor was Lotto absolutely nailed their lead out and OPQS completely screwed theirs up.
Agreed on all points. I swear like a trooper at our IT but not when anyone important is around. He's great because he cares so much and works so hard at it. I don't think there are many people that can saunter into professional sport and just mess around at it. Maybe 30-40 years ago ability could get you through but there are too many other competitors trying to get there that natural ability is not enough.0 -
I'll tell you this...A proven experienced/seasoned winner and professional cyclist shouldn't be forced to ride something in a competitive high octane environment he isn't comfortable with..test bedding a load of gear at the sharp end of a sprint stage in the tour is perhaps unwise... not saying thats the case here mind, just saying"If I was a 38 year old man, I definitely wouldn't be riding a bright yellow bike with Hello Kitty disc wheels, put it that way. What we're witnessing here is the world's most high profile mid-life crisis" Afx237vi Mon Jul 20, 2009 2:43 pm0

CVV's crash today:Garmin's Team Doctor wrote:The multiple contusions and abrasions he suffered in today's crash, compounded with the injuries he sustained [during] stage five - which included a blood clot in his neck muscle, a loosened screw in his clavicle plate and upper back injuries - made it impossible for him to finish today's stage.
I think that's when you know it's time to retire to a comfy armchair somewhere...0 -

His career could have been so much different if he learned how not to crash.Contador is the Greatest0 -

Talking of which heres ligget selling the route next year - I have to say it looks as beautiful as it does exciting. The dissenter is every human being at those moments of his life when he resigns
momentarily from the herd and thinks for himself.0 -

Or how to crash without hurting himself.0 -

I was in Pignan, not Pezenas... and not responsible for any crashes! However, due to either a small miscalculation on my part, Prudhomme setting them off early, or the peloton wanting to get on with it, I arrived approximately 1m30s AFTER the passage of the peloton.
Here's a pic of an empty road, with helicopters disappearing into the distance.
So a 40km round trip, for nowt. At least it's all kilometres in the Strava pot.0 -
I think Kadri is a local.Contador is the Greatest0
-
Sagan for second today.'Performance analysis and Froome not being clean was a media driven story. I haven’t heard one guy in the peloton say a negative thing about Froome, and I haven’t heard a single person in the peloton suggest Froome isn’t clean.' TSP0

Oh dear! Still that is a lovely road. Look at that surface. And you can have an extra slice of cake at tea time now you've put in those extra 40k.Correlation is not causation.0 -
At least it's a beautiful sunny day...0

Glad the tdf is on- two days at home waiting for a TNT delivery for work would be a nightmare otherwise. Nobody mention Wimbledon please.
Do like those Mavic shoes on Kadri though0 -

And there are some lovely old Cathar castles to get the history tastebuds going.Correlation is not causation.0 -
Just shown one of the 100 anniversary TdF interviews with riders asked who they had posters of on their wall when they were growing up (Wiggins said Indurain, Contador said Armstrong). Cavendish gave a cheeky smile, and said it may sound brash, but he didn't want to be the next anyone, he always wanted to be the first Mark Cavendish0

So Jens is on a standard issue Team Smurf bike today, no special 'Shut Up Legs' bike for him. Quite right, why should he be denied the humiliation.
And have Team Smurf Trek been out and about stealing ghost bikes? This one is from Auckland. I know their sponsorship was looking a bit dicey but stooping to stealing ghost bikes. The shame.
