There's only one name that would shock me.

Is Knaven the only one - outside of Mr Boardman - who would be a story at this point?

    backstedt, voight, o'grady?

these are guys are pretty universally popular and most of us are propbably hoping they were clean back then

But then why would they be? Of the 1998 Tour, the only guy I'd be disappointed in would be Boardman.

    ^This

Maggie is/was a big unit I've always suspected he may have needed a little extra in the tank, I hope I'm wrong.

As I sais earlier Boardman would be the real disappointment and such a specialist/OCD TT'er that to find out he was juiced as well would be heartbreaking.

Good. Becuse now they've revealed that Pantani, Ullrich and Julich doped I'm keen to find out if Armstrong did too.

Does this mean I can now claim I beat Fabio Sacchi up Alpe D'Huez on a rainy morning in 2001? I held his wheel for about 200 metres when he caught me on his training ride about 2km from the top. He later passed me doing the "Loser" sign on his way back down.

I want this stricken from the record and my honour restored.

    Pop quiz

What other shame do Blijvens and Julich share on the Tour?

:D More doping scar tissue. Another promising career nipped in the bud.

They both had a thing for Julie Andrews as Mary Poppins?

No surprises but wonder what Cipo will say about this.

Also would be nice to know how many riders they tested and were clean in that tour and how many didn't even get a test

    NO trace of EPO

    Dani Sánchez ‏@DaniBici 1m
Probado que sus muestras del Tour ’98 no contenían EPO: Chris Boardman, Jan Svorada, Maarten den Bakker y Stuart O’Grady (en dos ocasiones).

My understanding is that O'Grady's name is not on the list - not that necessarily means a great deal.

It seems you are quite right. Just read the opposite somewhere else, though.

Confessing to huge sigh of relief re Boardman...

...who'd have been tested multiple times on that Tour as wearing yellow

And here's two fingers in the air to Vaughters who was spouting on Twatters last night that he reckoned 100% of the riders at the '98 Tour would have been on it

Must admit I didn't doubt Boardman for a second. I think that says a lot about him.

    Sky escape the Knaven conundrum.

    Still nothing sticks to Jens.

    Apparently Boardman's were too degraded to re-test . . .

I know, it wasnt that I doubted....but unless you're the athlete himself you can never be 100% sure, can you
