FFS! Can't seem to add the poxy photo... this is the only bloody forum I have this problem with... GRRRRR!
Always liked the early 90s BCF jersey with the Union Jack done like wheels. When I try to find it on the web the only example I can find is of you wearing one in the pursuit! I had a genuine one off a mate who rode the 1990 junior worlds (a gift to say sorry after he rode into the back of me on a TT!) but I've lost it. Gutted as it was the best cycling top I've ever owned.0 -

^Well that's not yet been through the wash. So, so bright. My eyes. My eyes! 8)Correlation is not causation.0

It's only a bit of sport, Mun. Relax and enjoy the racing.0

Love it, Cav, rocking it well0

Let me present the dutch champion, Mark Cavendish!
It's hard to describe how poor those stripes look.0 -
Why don't the WC bands go completely around his arms? Bah, rubbish!0

No, the world champs bands around his arms, not the national champs bands around his torso. Looks like they haven't quite finished it.0 -

No no it's not a fail, look at it this way, the Netherlands has inherited a former world champion and will actually, most probably now win at least one stage of the Tour
Kom op Cav!Correlation is not causation.0 -
Like it! Agree the WC bands could/should go all the way... but otherwise neat!
(Waiting for Vermarc to have it on their website at about £150...)0 -
I love it. Revel in a GB RR champs jersey also displaying the rainbow stripes of the former World RR champ. Priceless!0

Not sure how young you are ThomThom , but look back at what athletes representing GB used to wear back in the 60s and 70s - it was these red white & blue bands.
I like it, although the WC bands should go all the way round.0 -
I'm undecided about the bands - I personally think they look a little better like that, but can't put my finger on why (perhaps because they look a little less like they were sewn on by his mum for school sports day) - but when my daughter asked me about the rainbow bands it did strike me that he's the first person to be allowed that combination. Had to resist the urge to lecture her on how lucky she is that she hasn't had to wait a lifetime for GB riders to be so evident at the highest level; after all, she's only four - she thinks Cavendish winning so frequently is perfectly normal...
Edit - the national bands look better. I agree the rainbows should have gone the whole way around...0 -

Has that photo been taken at the very moment he realised he'd forgotten his bike?0 -

I think the Brit Champs jersey is brilliant in its simplicity. Classy and understated. However if it were not for Wiggo hijacking the RAF roundel I would quite like to see a the jersey as RAF pale blue with the roundel in middle. ie
Always be yourself, unless you can be Aaron Rodgers....Then always be Aaron Rodgers.0 -
It was hijacked a long time before Sir Wiggo.
You only need two tools: WD40 and Duck Tape.
If it doesn't move and should, use the WD40.
If it shouldn't move and does, use the tape.0 -
ddraver wrote:It was hijacked by Sir Wiggo because the mods hijacked it way back when....
Sir Bradley of Wiggins didnt hijack it from the mods - cos he is one, innit
Mods 'adopted' it
OH GOD, I WANT THE TOUR TO START NOW0 -
HERE'S JOHNNY!!
This is a seriously nice nat champ/team combo (much better than the plain vacansoleil colours):

No that can't be right, as has been pointed out :- it's the Dutch flag.Organiser, National Championship 50 mile Time Trial 19720 -
Just saw it side on. The national bands are round his stomach on the front and nearly his shoulders on the back. That's very poor.Warning No formatter is installed for the format0

That side shot of cavendish looks as if he's had a few fish suppers and too much Irn Bru in Glasgow last week 8) ....dont think i will buy a white jersey as it def makes you look fat.0
