Perfect climb to put the diesels on the front. Nice surface, wide and shallow.

Stage 5 is a lumpy stage that ends in a 12.7 km uphill finish to Valmorel, a ski resort in the Rhône-Alpes. The climb has your typical steady ski resort grade in this case averaging 7%. At just five seconds back on GC, Chris Froome (Sky) should move into the race lead after this stage. With so many riders out of GC contention, don't be surprised to see a break of quality riders succeed on this stage.

A Spanish alliance should form and those four attack together.

Sky to diesel up it, Contador to attack but fail, J Rod to attack in the final km and win the stage.

No need to watch it now.

Actually i've gone for Froome on PTP, simply because we don't really know what J Rod's form is like.

I'll run with Inky's version both from a PTP and betting perspective. Only doubt is if J Rod can hang with the Sky express. I think he can for this one. Dont think he'll be able to later in the week.

It might be the sort of stage Rolland or De Gendt are in a break from which they take off a quarter the way up the last climb, before the remaining GC contender peloton closes in on the break.

Should be a good one this. Its nice a short so they have no excuse not to race it hard.

Tekle`s first race of the season due to visa issues. Ridiculous. Quite a problem for Colombian riders also.

It is really hard for some people to get a Schengen visa, especially Africans. I've got a colleague who could give you a whole break down of the process and stats.
