To be fair Rachel atherton won the World Cup sieries last year on the old fury, but obviously it's rider not bike. The atherton a fury is available next year.Cube Analog 2012 with various upgrades.0

There's no other woman who can get close to Rachel. They have some strength issues to sort on the new Fury and what you can buy still wont be the same as their's.Transition Patrol - viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=130702350

Except the production bikes wont have their custom geometry or hand built frames made to tighter tolerances. Its not a GT thing, all the teams have hand built frames which just look like the standard frames. The forks and shocks are pro race only units as well, you cant buy the latest air Fox 40s which Fox supported teams are using.Transition Patrol - viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=130702350

It has been reported that Lorenzo Suding's Fury was damaged in freight to Hafjell - it arrived with a bend/dent in the downtube/behind the headtube, so the frame's integrity was already jeopardised. But he decided to ride it anyway rather than wait for a new frame and rebuild at the time.2012 GT Fury 2.0

My GT Ruckus SS
I use it as my commuter in London as the surface quality is no less than a trail.0 -
Ahh yes i remember this one. Its a beauty! Im essentially building a crap version of this, im re-doing my GT-Arrowhead to be a single speed rigid. A quick question about your drive train, are you having any trouble with the chain tension? Im going to try mine out with a standard SS chain and no tensioner just like yours, was wondering if you are happy with yours.
And ill add this as and update now, since its all done.
And for a week or so its on different tyres, commuting on this for a while When the other build is done ill put the Aspens back on.

Here's my 2010 Avalanche.
Had a fair few upgrades from stock, including Deore LX hydros, Mavic rims etc etc
Just taken it on its first proper off road trail, few drops, took it down a staircase, plenty of roots and it handled them all extremely well. Makes a very welcome change from the road bikes I've had (Carrera, CAAD9 ultegra).
Can't wait to take it out again tomorrow!
EDIT: Updated since todays ride0 -
I suppose I should get in on this action shouldn't I, heres Amy, my force Carbon, based on a Hans Rey setup, !50mm rear, 140 front for a sharper, more xc feel

Well that's partly true, but like many things I do, I researched a bit before I bought and built and when I saw the sharpened angle setup it made sense for my style of riding and the kind of long day out riding I wanted to do more of0 -

hey new dude here! lol
pretty sweet GT's on here!
here is mine. nothing fancy, '03 Palomar, i picked it up for cheap $80. and it was all junked up, so i took it apart refurbished everything and painted it, color is Nissan"orange mist" base/clear, cleaned every bolt, and put it together again.
its all stock I just added some H.O.X pedals I got for $10 bucks Alex Rims, and Kenda K-rads
I use it mainly for commuting and bike paths etc and it works awesome for that

If that's the same colour as this then you are clearly a man of taste:
