Blaming America and China?! That's madness - they are role models as to know how we get rid of all the snow on Galibier!

Well the Giro is on at the same time every year and I've never seen so much rain. Not that I am that fussed about the forced changes this weekend.

Not looking good for wekend stages at all.

I have to say though the Giro podium lasses are so much hotter than the TDF ones.

Ticker reporting gap to group of 6m20s, 23km out, with Cav on his own 1m50s behind group. Is there nobody left for a Grupetto?

That should be good too though, winner takes the place in the Champions League qualifiers.

Quite a ride from Trentin given how long OPQS pulled yesterday. In the break which still has 7m20s, 32km from the top.
My ticker is saying Trentin is now looking tired.

Anyone know what the special prize Pietropolli in the break got after about 60 km, a few kms before the first sprint?

Yes, quite good to be fair. Equalisers, own goals. Better than continual highlights of past giro stages!

So what's the problem with having 1 camera on the ascent? Weather stopping the signal?

Colbrelli, Paolini and Pietropolli have started the final climb, 7.3 km long, about 4-30 ahead of a Maglia Rosa group of about only 30 riders. Trentin is between, about 1 min back from the front three.

Just before the 5 km out point, Colbrelli attacked but first Paolini then Pietropolli rejoined him, Trentin now at 1-50, Maglia Rosa group at 4-00, where Sky are at the front. Cataldo and Henao also there with Uran.

Sky doing their usual. Peloton now 30 riders only. Evans comfortably next to Nibali.

Apparently Henao has attacked out of the Maglia Rosa group.

    And Rosa joined him.
