My first post and first ride today in the poring wet, cold and mud.... Loved it!
The bike and I got a lot dirtier than this shortly after. Ride highlights... fast downhill in wet sand and mud, fork doing it's job rather well despite my rookie riding skills.
For those pondering one of these, the blue definitely grew on me, I wasn't sure to begin with.
Thanks to this forum for helping me chase down one of the last 2011/2012 Bantu's. I had to travel to get it but no regrets!

I missed out on one of the last (2011 I think) Wangas just recently. XT drivetrain and Revelation forks for £500! It was still out on the shop floor and I wanted to buy it, but the Bikehut manager had reserved it for himself, which I thought was a bit naughty.0

As it's my first bike in 15+ years I decided a Bantu would do me for a couple of years, all being well. The Wanga does look good though. Shame you missed it and like you say, a bit unlucky/unfair.0 -
I picked up a Voodoo Bizango six weeks ago. This is my first bike for a five years or so and after riding a small framed Kona Stuff it was a bit odd jumping on to the 20" Voodoo.
I am yet to make any real adjustments/upgrades to the standard Bizango, just throwing a Mucky Nuts Bender Fender on the front after a lovely ride where cow muck was flung in my face and replacing the bottle/pump bolts for some silicone tidds. Eventual upgrade will be a switch to 1x10 shimano gearing as I rarely leave middle ring.

Well, the saddle is horrible, and the mounting stuff at the bottom is plastic, and despite the fact i have readjusted it many times, it slowly returns back to that angle. It is also more comforable like that, and is not as steep as it looks in the picture is the bike is on a bit of a hill but yeah, new one may be on the cards soon :roll:Framebuilder

Never really had an issue with my Voodoo saddle whilst I used it.
I swapped over to a Spoon after a few months and it's lots comfier though.0 -
I don't know to be honest, what works for some might not work for others, your bike is gorgeous by the way, very nearly ended up with one but Halfords had none in store when they offered to swap that or the Bizango for my old Carrera.Framebuilder

Good to see so many Bizango's being sold! Halfords/Voodoo must be making a killing hahahaha
Mine has really been thrashed recently, three trips to Cannock and two to Llandegla, no issue except when i bent the derailleur, easily 10x better than the Carrera Vulcan it replaced!PBNinja wrote:Here's mine, just home from the shop and reflectors offFramebuilder

Quick question, does anyone have a link to a spare derailleur hanger? I'm not entirely sure which one will fit or are they a universal type thing?
thanks!0 -
I don't know, but you could always ring up halfords and they should be able to tell you.Framebuilder

Might be a bit technical for my local
Cheers, I'll give them a shout.0 -
Quick question for all the Bizango owners (as I'm looking to get one) how do you find the sizing? I've currently got a 19.5" Felt (26er) which is fine and thinking of going for a 20" Voodoo but not sure with them being 29ers n all that0

I'm 5'11 too and went for the 18 inch frame. Feels plenty roomy for me, haven't adjusted anything but the seat height.0
-
I find I tend to have the seat quite low, and I have the short stem and riser bars slightly tiltin backwards, but it's all about what you like and it feels much more aggressive than my dads kili proFramebuilder

-
RD Hangers, BETD have a good Road and MTB range if you are struggling to get one locally.

Thanks - will do! Isn't that seatpost rather than clamp size though?0
-
Yeah, but the seat clamp is the nearest one to that, I think it would be 31.8 but I've never bought a seatclamp for it I jut know the seatpost size from the websiteFramebuilder
