got it from Halfords and haven't changed a thing, not the tyres or even the saddle - done HtN a few times on it and it's a real good laugh to ride"I get paid to make other people suffer on my wheel, how good is that"

DanDax, I've just noticed you're in the same part of the world as me, where do you ride?0

Some lovely Voodoos here. Not going to post a picture of my Bantu as it's pretty standard at the moment (like my riding), but a quick question to you Bantu owners...What size quick release seat clamp does it take?
Many thanks.0 -

Seatpost: 400mm SP-602 alloy 27.2
Straight off the voodoo website, so unless the tube is 0.4 mm thick that 28 mm will be too small! I would have guessed at 31.8pity those who don't drink, the way they feel when they wake is the best they will feel all day

My banny....changes so far
710 ragley bars
50mm ragley stem
hope quick release clamp
continental baron 2.3 tyres

Made changes just to suit riding style (alot of xc/downhill).
Ps don't tell the missus i had bike in kitchen :-\Still can't wheelie0 -

Never noticed it before, But did 40 miles up to Loch Lomond on my Hoodoo yesterday and still can't feel my right hand something is definitely vibrating on the right side of the bike but I have no idea what, Thought there was something wrong but only really noticed it yesterday, I think some investigating is in order0

My Hoodoo at Lee Quarry back in January. Will soon be moving over to a Canyon Full Sus but have loved every minute of riding this, a great introduction to Mountain Biking.0 -

Cheers Dan.
Does the Wanga have a far slacker head angle than the bantu?
My bantu handles DH riding really well but i would benefit with more travel up front.
My banny at the present....
Ragley 710 wiser bars
Ragley 50mm stubby stem
Ragley saddle
Nukeproof spacers
Hope Qr clamp
Dmr acid blue v8 pedals
Skyway grips
Continental baron 2.3 tyres

What travel are your current forks? Not sure what the Bantu is but my Bokor runs 140mm Epicons. I'm getting some Revs soon.0

120mm suntour raidon, not sure whether these are good or bad but they do the job.
Would prefer 140mm if the bike will work with them..going to have a two ring setup with bash guard and chain device,i never use the outer ring.Still can't wheelie0 -

The Bantus are actually raidon x3s. 100 mm of travel. Halfords just gave out the wrong info. Going from my old Bantu to hoodoo is only a 20 mm rise but makes the bike seem a lot taller, think the 140 would totally mess the geometry. The wanga comes with 140 (iirc) so this frame must be different sizing0 -
Ahh,naughty Halfords.....shall heed your advice and leave the forks on the banny, currently saving cash as I would like a steeper angled bike with more travel to ride more DH than light XC/FR,was going to purchase longer travel shox but can't see a problem having 2 bikes .....CHEERS jamieStill can't wheelie0

The X3's come in 100mm or 120mm of travel. On the Bantu 120mm should of been fitted, if they weren't then you had the wrong forks on your bike and should of got Halfords to swap them to the correct 120mm ones0 -

Correct, they should be 120mm on the Bantu.... There was a while back some being sold with only 100mm, take it back and get them to swap it out if you're still under warrenty.... Measuring mine they come in at almost 130mm so 140mm will be fine...

Finally had chance to check the forks (currently grounded with slipped disc) and they measure 120mm...happy days...cheers for the help chapsStill can't wheelie0

My Bantu is long gone, was a pile of junk when I took it back to Halfords, they had no choice but to give me a free upgrade to a hoodoo
Early raidons weren't branded x1,3 etc so it was hit and miss. But x3s are def 100mm. X1s are 120.0 -
" houston26
But x3s are def 100mm. X1s are 120"
That is incorrect, I have a Bantu with X3 which are 120mm, infact on measuring they're almost 130mm.Riding - Voodoo Bantu0 -
My Voodoo Bantu. My first proper MTB. Standard apart from some nice new free deore brakes (Following problems with the original front caliper) and bottles/carriers.
The bike is going to be multi use. Including taking the kids out on bike rides. I can tell you know hills are not easy dragging a trailer with a 2 and 4 year old in the back. (Plus drinks/snacks/tools/locks/spare clothes/etc........)
