Could be interesting to see if he did go for it, more so if you consider that Fab's has also said that he wants to have a crack too.
Can you imagine the 2 of them going for it at a similar time, think that would be a worth while spectacle.Pain hurts much less if its topped off with beating your mates to top of a climb.0 -

Hadn't though of it that way!
Was more thinking about the bringing up the rivalry that we had years ago in this event.Pain hurts much less if its topped off with beating your mates to top of a climb.0 -

A lot more are going to know of the Giro over the next month if Wiggo's doing well - papers, telly news etc. And its not just about the UK for the Sky brand - Sky Italia are pretty big in Italy and BSkyB's second biggest division.0 -

There's that...also view from some of the Aussie pundits is that BMC dont think Cuddles is going to storm the Tour, and are rocking him out at the Giro to make the most of the large wedge they're paying him0 -

Lets hope he doesn't step on her."In many ways, my story was that of a raging, Christ-like figure who hauled himself off the cross, looked up at the Romans with blood in his eyes and said 'My turn, sock cookers'"

I doubt Contador is losing much sleep over the threat of a challenge from Nicolas Roche.0

Guess we will be seeing those snow drifts with supporters writing on the snow walls as well as the roads thenPain hurts much less if its topped off with beating your mates to top of a climb.0

We rode up mid-June last year and there were still 6ft+ snow banks on the last km from the North side (hidden from the sun). Will be plenty of scope for snow-based graffiti.
The Mont Cenis descent on the French side is a laugh as well, super quick.0 -
There is twice the normal snow depth on the Galibier this year. Most snow for 40 years. They are going to have their job cut out clearing the road. It is snowing at 1200 meters today as well. This is what it is normally like mid-May

If it doesn't move and should, use the WD40.
If it shouldn't move and does, use the tape.0 -
I hope so, I'd love to see something other than football on the back pages, surely cycling is much nicer to watch (We're actually good at it as a country as well unlike our dreary national football team) And there aren't any racist cannibals in cycling (Like Louis Suarez) as far as I know, just "The Cannibal"0

Is J Rod not doing the Giro now? He's not on that odds list posted earlier...0

Nope. All in for TdFFckin' Quintana … that creep can roll, man.0 -
Taylor Phinney looked good over the weekend in Italy.
Climbing 'n all.
3rd today.
Danilo di Luca is back and already looking like the 2007 version, after not one race.
Destroyed yesterday's peloton, for Mantova Santambrogio's win, made the select group of 9 today (caught by the Phinney group) and still managed a sprint for 6th."Science is a tool for cheaters". An anonymous French PE teacher.0 -

Nope. All in for TdF
Bad idea. Totally not his type of race.0 -
My prediction is that Wiggins is either going to totally boss this race, or be absolutely dismal. Or possibly just mediocre. Or maybe OK, podium place, but not really in the frame for the win.
Hmmmmm. Can't work it out.Warning No formatter is installed for the format0 -

Maybe. But he's not getting any younger and having skipped the last two editions he must be pretty keen to ride in the Tour. Winning a big mountain stage in the 100th Tour would be pretty special.0 -

So basically whatever happens, you can now say you predicted it0 -

Christ, No tA Doc, you've just redefined the boundaries of sitting on the fence
But hang on, there must be some more potential scenarios:
He could have a mechanical/gearing problem at the foot of Tre Cime di Lavaredo, lose the race and hurl the bike into Austria
He could be outshone by Henao who he sends up the road to scoop up so many bonus secs, he actually ends up over-taking Brad
He could hit a journo who winds him up at start/end of stage

Fair point. A couple of stage wins and maybe a top 5 GC placing is still better than anything else Katusha could offer.0
