Finishes +4m420 -
Was an exciting finish, but not a good result, always bad to see a win due to a technical issue.... If Wiggo didn't have to put a massive effort to catch up, that would have been very interesting!0

Go on then who is going to be the first to start a thread 'chain gate 2.0'Pain hurts much less if its topped off with beating your mates to top of a climb.0
-
Sorry about the premature interjection
It's never happened to me before.
Best performance from Cuddles for some time?0 -
Well I bet he'd rather have chain gate in April rather than May or July that's for sure0
-
Big big shame for Wiggins. And would like to have seen the fight between him and Spaghetti Man Mr Nibbles.
But that's bike racing.
At least Bouet clung onto a podium spot.0 -

Yep was working hard but looking like the Cadel of old on that climb and just pushing in his usual stylePain hurts much less if its topped off with beating your mates to top of a climb.0 -
Tough luck Wiggins.
Well done Nibali.Danlikesbikes wrote:Go on then who is going to be the first to start a thread 'chain gate 2.0'
Don't really think there's anything to discuss.“New York has the haircuts, London has the trousers, but Belfast has the reason!0 -
The air's going to be Sky blue around Wiggo right now0

Wiggins couldn't get back as there was no powermeter on the spare bike.“New York has the haircuts, London has the trousers, but Belfast has the reason!0

Not sure - could be Nibs teammate Fabio Aru?0 -

I don't know why. He lost about 30 secs to the mechanical, another minute after that on the climb.Think he and us learned something useful today.
Is it me or does he look heavier than last year? I think he's got another 2kg or so to lose before Tdf. Are they tapering him for both, assuming he'll be able to take the Giro not at 100%? Risky...0 -
I'm wrong! Here is provisional list...
UNOFFICIAL GC / GENERALE UFFICIOSA
1. Nibali
2. Santambrogio +0.08
3. Bouet +0.44
4. Aru +1.16
5 Wiggins +1.40
6 Niemiec + 1.45
7 Pirazzi +2.15
8 Evans +2.18
9 Locatelli +3.05
10 Rolland +3.220 -

In Nibali World maybe - I reckon Wiggins can judge his own pace just fine... That was a hell of a hold up he had there0 -
He looked really good just about to come back to the group then as they went through the little tunnel Nibs attacked, wonder if it was more about management for Brad from that point onPain hurts much less if its topped off with beating your mates to top of a climb.0

See. Sky can't win without the technology.“New York has the haircuts, London has the trousers, but Belfast has the reason!0 -
Wiggo only lost c.20 seconds on the actual bike change, but it looks like he had been messing about with his gears for a bit before that.0

So....who wants to see the Wiggins bike toss-with-precision-parking, again...?

Agreed.... He's definitely not as lean as he was in the TDF last year....If your into conspiracies / rumours / talkers, their reasoning is that last year Team Sky were on Aicar (loose muscle weight whilst keep power), but UCI now have a test for Aicar so Wiggo's not on it0 -

Personally no I don't want the issue was just posing the question as to who & how long as I'm sure the chain gate issue first time round was done to death as was Fab's slowing the peloton so that Frandie could get back on.

Wont go into one re such conspiracy theories but the Cologne lab have been able to detect AICAR since 2011, according to reports.0 -

Just stirring, but.... one of Sky's marginal gains was the peaking all year round brought in by the swimming coach.0
