To be fair our beef was with the route not the riders. We are now loving this however.

Mmm - ok I am not worthy Canc..

But it was some time coming.....and one bit of excitement over 5 hours does not a classic make

That's how one day races work

That's disrespectful towards the last month of brilliant one-day races.
  • That was ridiculous...
  • Stunning by Fabu - immense power.

As for the race in general - 3/10

    Honest question, what's a 10 for you?

I really enjoy tactical racing, so I've enjoyed this. 7.5

Main group don't seem that committed - there's a spot on the podium up for grabs!

I hope all of those who chose RVV over P-R are hanging their heads in shame! A great performance by Canc but not as good an edition as this year's MSR

Regardless of the route (which I think I can say after this year I don't like), no-one can deny that the last time up the Kwaremont and Paterberg is immense.

Definitely not a 3/10 though. Oooof that's harsh.

Canc's ability to make time in the 300m post steep climb is uncanny.

He'll drop you 30m from the top and be 20 seconds ahead 500m later.

Yeh, same thing against Boonen in 2010. He had to work really really hard to drop Sagn there but when he did, by the next corner, he was well gone.

He's really kinetic on his bike, i.e. not the smoothest. Maybe that's his secret to massive power.

Notice how he's not got rid of his bottle? Even in Cat 2/3 races you see guys throwing away their bottles.

Show's you there's nothing in it.

Well Cancellara's going to be breaking some eggs and eating some chocolate tonight! That's what he said he'd like to do before the start so I hope RSNT have bought him an Easter egg.

Cancellara looks like he could go back to Brugge and do it all over again. Awesome.

Given that there's 20 of them and they had Sagan and Roelandts in their sights they could've had them if they'd put the work in.

    Don't think i've ever seen a 10/10.

If Gatto can get back on after a puncture in the final 8km it shows the 'give up' attitude of a lot of the riders I really can't stand. This race was dull-as until 20km to go, and had been dull since Fabu gapped Sagan. I know that can be the nature of one day racing but it doesn't change my opinion.

I'm waiting for other riders to do something special but it just isnt happening.

Some rain might have made it better though.

If you look at the power he puts through the pedal stroke he's one of the smoothest around apparently.

    Evidently not...

Bit pointless for the group to battle for 4th etc...shouldnt they be trying to catch the other 2 first?
