    Had Sagan on the ropes at the top of the Kwaremont but ran out of hill, so sensed he'd be alright on the Paterberg ;).

    If he takes a turn then he loses because Canc will jump him. If he doesn't take a turn then either Canc will drag him a lot of the way or they drop back to the main group and Sagan has a good chance of winning the sprint anyway.

    Canc clearly stronger, but stopped Sagan getting in the wheel, which gives the follower a huge psychological advantage.

    Brilliant by Canc! My one criticism of Sagan was that he never helped out and always sat on the wheels in other races, this time he helped out and look how he got dropped and left behind.
