Oddly, those numbers are so specific that they don't seem useful. Love the wikipedia-like hierarchy of appraisal – why "fair"? Why not "basic" — or "rubbish". Oh of course, because it's a chart compiled by a bloke where everyone gets a bit of praise before getting down to the businiess of "proving" female inferiority.

It is a shame women's cycling isn't shown more on TV. It isn't always about the level of performance achieved which relates to the enjoyment of viewing. I'd much rather watch some of the female riders like Pooley, Vos, etc, than watch a race being won by Wiggins and his hideous plodding style. Women's racing can be really exciting to watch and a lot of other female sports get quite a bit of TV coverage, so hopefully cycling can too.0

There are many reasons why I can't wait to see a professional women's race on TV. One of them is to see what the victory ceremony is like in women's road racing and whether they have several men who failed their audition for the Chippendales handing over the laurels and kissing the victor. If, as I suspect not, one has to ask why, in the 21st century, each ceremony in men's cycling looks like a Miss World program from 50 years ago.0
