Not really upgraded from stock, apart from wheels.

Can't help but notice the short stem and the saddle slammed back. I think you'd benefit from a longer stem!

I like the aero look and simplicity of this bike though.

    Exactly.

Stem is the stock length (Approx 110mm long), and the saddle is nearly in the right position. I think the stem looks shorter than it is because of the garmin mount on the top of the stem.

I had a bike fit at Cadence Sport (Adrian Timmis) and the saddle position was virtually perfect. Stem size was proved to be correct, but the bars got lowered and bar angle/hood position changed. But the bike fits me perfectly. Super comfy over distance, and it's snappy and smooth.

    Mine.

CAAD9, Chorus, CC80s, got some custom 20mm carbon too and Khamsins for training. Also got access to Open Pro ceramics, Enve 25 on King and custom 50mm carbon.

Doesn't look real, more like a toy that your kids play with.

I think I counted 16 or so Time logos when I got it! Too many, that's why I sanded the logos off the rims, it's properly stealthy now :)

Agree with the above comment, lovely colour scheme on that.

And something you probably won't see out on the road.

Imported frame (DONT HATE, I'm only 16 years old and funded all by myself, couldnt afford the 3 grand one :
Anyway to the bits and bobs, i need to change stem for a shorter one, need my bike fit first though,

    Shimano 105 5700 Shifters
    Shimano 105 5700 Crankset
    Shimano Ultegra 6700 Brakeset
    Shimano ultegra 6700 RD
    Shimano 105 5700 FD
    BBB 14-25 Cassette 10 SP ( Junior gearing )
    Token Chain catcher
    KMC 10-L Gold chain
    3T Team Stem 120mm ( Think i need about 90/100mm )
    Deda newton handlebars (Deep drops)
White handlebar tape (If you cant tell already :P )
50MM Front, 60MM rear carbon tubulars
Vittoria Corsa Evo CX Tubs (700x23)
    Elite Bottle cages
    Fizik Saddle
    Shimano 105 Pedals

Dont know the weight of it but its not heavy for an aero frame! Total cost including all labour, custom fees, race wheels, training wheels, is about 2600 Pounds. Pretty cheap if you ask me. Please dont tell me about how im a bad person for getting a fake frame or with the decals on, but im studying and have a part time job, i dont earn mega bucks.

    Thanks peeps!

I see this is getting into a "modern spoiled kids" thread... it's not his fault if he has more money in his pockets than me and you had when we were 16... it's our generation's fault actually... if we weren't so obsessed with making money, kids wouldn't have that much money to spend...

Good on him. IMO it's better that he's spending his 'pocket money' a hobby rather than cider, spliffs and McKenzie/Bench/etc jackets.

    Nice build BTW :)

Well done elmoreynolds it's refreshing to see a strong work ethic in a sixteen year old.

When I was sixteen and still at school, 31 years ago , I too self funded my passion, motocross racing, with bank loans and part time jobs.

Its not your fault a £2600 bike seems cheap to you, it's because 'affluent old bast**ds' like me are stupid enough to pay outrageous prices for carbon fibre status symbols.

Enjoy the bike and good luck with your racing.

No problem with him having or spending the money, and I never said spoilt, anyone can earn and save a lot of money on their own with a bit of motivation. Good for him, my lazy, 16 year old self is dead jealous!

£2600 is still a lot of money and is by no means a 'cheap bike' - that was my point.
