Soo jealous of those wheels, I really want a pair of Williams wheels, how do you find them? We're they a lot to get shipped (import duty?)

Haha indeed - the bike is kept in the top floor of the house (loft conversion). Either that or I'm 8ft 10... :P

They are great, fantastic value for money, not too heavy at around 1650g. You do really notice the aero advantage when above certain speeds. I think the import tax was about £30. Great customer service, would recommend them.

You are - you've pretty much met us all now!
have you taught him the handshake yet?

In answer to the why dont i ride my nice bike all year round? for the simple reason im more likely to bin it in the wet and dirt of the winter. Would rather slide along the road on my CAAD9 which is alu than on a carbon frame. Also factor in the carbon wheels and braking power in the wet isnt as good as alu rims. Plus winter base miles on a heavier bike give you that instant boost in the summer

It now has Cruise carbon tubs since this picture was taken.
Was going to get a new frame and forks this year but have decided to use it again for another year and hopefully will have the cash to buy the frame I want next year.

These have added a bit but they aren't/weren't summer bikes...

This is a current n+1- Dream with 10sp chorus.

Wish I'd kept this Tutti Frutti Eddie Merckx Corsa Extra with Columbus TSX tubing and built up with Athena. Just threw it together with mostly 6700 to see how it rode. It rode beautifully but I was never going to be able to afford to build it up and do it justice. Paint was pretty scratched/chipped too.

This Colnago Arte was probably the best racing scud I owned but sold It after a couple of unlucky crashes. I'm superstitious ;) Fantastic frame though. Wish the C50 had been the same size.

Holy sh1t! your garage is like a who's who of bicycles. You are Lord Rothschild and I claim my £5. (I really love that Colnago with the acid trip paint job, got to say that is my favourite Colnago to date)

Ok, the Colnago makes up for everything :)

I still miss my Colnago lo-pro in Mapei colours that I sold for nothing (and it had Delta brakes  ).

  • Just wondering after seeing a lot of bikes on here with tubs, do you guys ride with a spare tub or just hope you don't puncture? I would always be too paranoid about puncturing to ride tubs out training.

Just take a spare tub and some tape. Although I almost exclusively rode tubs in races...

Nap, is that paint job on the Colnago stock or a one off?

I just carry an old pre-taped (or pre-glued) tub.

The summer bike! I do have an all weather bike with mudguards but I have gotten the better bike out if/when the weather is exceptionally dry in the winter, however that hasn't happened often of late.

Unfortunately I may never get to use this bike this summer due to cash flow problems, will see how things go. :(

Nice, but I would have cash flow problems if I had a bike like that!
