No I don't see anyone being in danger of missing the cut. If it was raced as a one-day race then maybe.0

Having just had a weekend of riding stage 1/2 with cycol tours, who I highly recommend, I can say stage two is very very hard, there's a lot of non cat climbs in on the stage with 19% plus for a long way! also the descents are quite hairy! few 25% descents with few hairpin turns in, stage 1 was really good, also just living across the border in Lancashire, yours hire have really taken to the tour, I don't think there was a road/street on the tour without bunting/flags/yellow bikes, farmers fields with big jersey in and lots of road art for sky, Cav, froome, and wiggo (know he isn't. At least 3 hours for cars etc. Lots of infrastructure to remove before cars are allowed back on road.
So those people wanting to get away quick from Buttertubs to Holme Moss..............................forget it!0 -

Thanks. I'm on Buttertubs and due to stay Saturday night but might need to go back home overnight so will use the alternative car park if that does happen.0 -

Hambleton and Richmondshire councils say roads are due to open to cars at 6pm, certainly in the eastern part of stage 1All lies and jest..still a man hears what he wants to hear and disregards the rest....0 -

Its not as hard as the Marmotte.
And I think he got a bit confused with some of his climbs. Cote-De-Outibridge and the climb up to Grenoside is the same thing.
I think everyone will get in within the time limit reasonably easily.
Still going to be a great days racing though!Top Ten finisher - PTP Tour of Britain 20160 -

Have you read the replies to Inrng's tweet on this? Amazing levels of ignorance regarding the difference between British and English.
Not helped I think by the UK habitually being referred to by Dutch speakers as 'Engeland' instead of 'Verenigd Koninkrijk'.
I suppose its a bit like English speakers habitually referring to the Netherlands as Holland. Although when you say Dutch you are not excluding large parts of the citizenry, unlike when you refer to 'Engeland' or 'Engelsman' when referring in fact to the UK.Correlation is not causation.0 -

He had 6 days of racing before winning the Vuelta last year. Is only 4 days of racing this year enough prep for him to win the Tour?0
