Mechanical Design Engineer by degree but have worked in energy most of the time (mainly gas turbines) around the world. Currently though I am an installation project manager for large offshore wind farms.

Commute to office by bike, but have to travel a lot; try to take a turbo, although bit difficult to do in hand luggage.

I work for bank (but I'm not a banker...I work in the technology centre for the the corporate banking arm) in the lovely Chesire countryside. Great location for riding to work (I have on occasion) but unfortunately it does not fit in well with having to do the school run :( .

I few techie IT nerds, but not as many as I would have thought. I'm a technical architect working for a IT consultancy and specialising in Microsoft business intelligence systems. Basically, I help clients to refine their business requirements, and then scope the systems, before defining functional requirements and then working with the developers to implement the systems. How's that for nerdy

I'd be the developer trying to implement the system then!!
