Im a civil servant and I work in an office and it is boring.....boring........boring !!

I think of it as utter tedium and it provides none of the satisfaction that I get from being out on the bike.

So.........................what is your job ?

Not time served, no formal quals, but 11 years on the tools from the age of 42, just goes to show, its never too late to learn something new, and boy can it be rewarding...and scary at first, but thats what makes it interesting.
Like selling coals to Newcastle, i found myself (with everything ive learned in 10 years) working in Spain, on their Spanish machines, teaching them how to deal with certain problems.

Don't be afraid to tread a new path, but be prepared for some stress and fear doing it.

Sometimes i used to laughingly call myself an international service/maintenance engineer, which technically was correct, albeit a bit lofty. But working in several different locations in three different continents...
But then you see the reality...i get covered in grease and dirt, work on an uninspiring industrial estate ...and when abroard, used to work in farming locations or semi industrial ports...there was nothing glamorous about it :D
