I haven’t got any unfortunately, I do like it though. I had some peanuts over Christmas and I guess I've got the taste for them again. I've never been fussy with food fortunately, I will pretty much eat most things.

I certainly believe bullying should be taken seriously, life can be tough enough without unnecessarily adding to it. I also appreciate peoples honesty with difficult situations they shouldn't have been put through.

Getting back to being cheered up…

    being in Fiji.
The above may be fact, or fiction, I may be serious, I may be jesting.
I am not sure. You have no chance.

People on both sides of the argument totally missed the point. Plenty of anti people were saying how quiet it was which seemed to be based on the pavements not being packed due to people being able to spread out more.
I think people just like arguing on the internet.

(Apparently) successfully re-sealing my flattish-and-imperfect lead roofing by the Velux in my kitchen. It was a flawed design with not enough fall on it in the first place, and the joins were done without battens, and after about 25 years of settling, it started leaking. I did the repair job with some grey silicone sealant last year, and that worked well temporarily, but it started leaking again a few weeks ago... seems that the sealant had started coming adrift from the lead,, so I've done it again afresh. It'll be a PITA if I have to do it annually, but only takes 10 minutes, so not too much of a faff.

I would presume that the silicone won't adhere tot he Lead very easily.

Yep. Book next year's repair in now. And get a sealant specifically designed for lead.

It does when it's fresh, but I've discovered that 12 months max for proper sealing. (PS, I've corrected your "tot he" 😉 )

Thinking that I'd get soaked on the ride home from tonight's rehearsal, having decided not to play safe and use the car (despite the forecast), but the rain started just after I'd got there, and stopped just as I walked out of the door after finishing. And also, now I can disconnect my car battery, knowing I won't need to use my car till probably May sometime.

I did something similar on Weds evening. Drove home from work planning a bike ride but it started raining just as I got to the door. Faffed around a bit lubricating the squeaky gear linkage on the geriatric Focus by which time it had stopped. Hopped on the bike for 90 minutes of glorious sunshine, then within 5 minutes of getting back the heavens opened for a couple of hours of proper Hollywood blockbuster rain :)
