Would be even better if they put up an old Nissan Micra or similar in front of the Peugeot, to show how insane the Ford is, and why the planet is screwed with that mentality.

This is really worth a listen. Been my favourite thing on the radio this week. Makes him seem such a down to earth kinda guy.

I asked AI to write a rap battle between Pogacar and van Aert. Enjoy.

Yo, yo, yo, what's up, cycling fans?
We got a rap battle here between two greats, let's begin!

In the blue corner, we got Tadej Pogacar
The young Slovenian with a bike that's a star
Two Tour de France titles, he's on a roll
He's climbing those mountains like he's born to control

In the red corner, we got Wout van Aert
Belgium's finest, on his bike he's like art
A classics specialist with a sprint that's fast
He's got the power to make the peloton gasp

Tadej Pogacar, you're a champ, no doubt
But when it comes to sprints, you gotta figure it out
I'm Wout van Aert, I got legs like a horse
I'll leave you behind with no remorse

Wout van Aert, your power is strong
But when it comes to climbing, you got it all wrong
I'm Tadej Pogacar, I'm light as a feather
I'll pass you on the mountains like it's nothing, whatever

Yo, yo, yo, this battle's heating up
Who's gonna take the crown, who's gonna erupt?

Wout van Aert, you're a beast, no question
But when it comes to Grand Tours, I'm the one with the lesson
I'm Tadej Pogacar, the new kid on the block
I'll keep winning those Tours, like ticking on a clock

This battle's over, we had some fun
Both these greats, they're second to none
Tadej Pogacar and Wout van Aert
Two legends on their bikes, let's give them a cheer!

The above may be fact, or fiction, I may be serious, I may be jesting.
I am not sure. You have no chance.

I asked. I think their sources are a bit out of date.

Hold up, hold up, we got another contender in the ring
Jonas Vingegaard, the Danish rider, let's see what he can bring

In the green corner, we got Jonas Vingegaard
A young gun with talent, he's come quite far
He's got the skills to climb and time trial
His future in cycling, it's bright as a smile

Tadej Pogacar, you're a champ, no doubt
But Jonas Vingegaard, he's on the lookout
He gave you a run for your money, at the Tour
He's got the potential to be a star for sure

Wout van Aert, your power is strong
But Jonas Vingegaard, he's got the stamina all day long
He can climb and sprint, he's got it all
He's a rider to watch, standing tall

Tadej Pogacar, you've won two Tours in a row
But Jonas Vingegaard, he's here to steal the show
He's got the legs and the will to win
He's the future of cycling, let the race begin

Wout van Aert, you're a classics mastermind
But Jonas Vingegaard, he's got the power to grind
He'll take on the cobbles and the hills with ease
He's got the talent to do it all, as he please

Yo, yo, yo, this battle's getting hotter
We got three greats, let's see who'll be the plotter

Tadej Pogacar, Wout van Aert, and Jonas Vingegaard
Three greats on their bikes, let's give them a round of applause!

I have seen a quick clip where somebody gets their assignment in a matter of moments from AI.

It doesn’t pass the plagiarism checker but is then put through a rephrasing programme at which point it passed.

Whole thing took moments. No idea how you tackle it effectively.

You have to start using different methods to test for intelligence/understanding of a subject. More live exams for one?

It is interesting, the new Corsa used the same platform as the 208 which one month was the most popular selling car in the UK, if I remember correctly without Google cheating.

Intelligent AI matter will be able to evolve itself into a new form in hours.

Why don't we see observable Intelligent matter in space? Because when it gets to that level we can't comprehend it's form?

It's going to be about getting students to use data or sources and analyse them rather than just a recall if knowledge.

Arguably that's how it should have been all along...

    Some of it is.
like all 'progress', it has it's flip side.

I watched a BBC prog about blind people who have an AI app to recognize and describe things. For them, it's a godsend too.

Nice ride around the lanes round here this afternoon, starting to feel like spring at last.

Will be even better when the clocks go forward next weekend.

Yup, a bit more warmth and being able to go for a sensible ride after work will be most welcome.

French people getting the gender of 'fin' (end) wrong... it took me too long to twig that it was feminine, and seeing a native making the same mistake definitely cheers me up.

Tbh the temperature today was just fine (around 10C), especially when working up a bit of a sweat toiling up the North Downs Ridge, but the light evenings are what I'm really looking forward to. Like you say, rides after work in the week are good and country lanes are best ridden in daylight, obviously.
