That ^ was as dull as dishwater but on the upside, there was a nice recipe on the next video.

Guess it depends on whether you recognise anyone or not.
is it a young Billy Connelly?
Not even a young Billy Connolly. 😉
Are you forcing us to watch it again?!
I never force anyone to do anything.
Can't blame me that way. 😉
The above may be fact, or fiction, I may be serious, I may be jesting.
I am not sure. You have no chance.

I went to pick up a new (to me) frame I bought on Ebay, got it from a very nice German chap in north London. I was listening to Spotify on random in the car, shortly after I drove away Tour de France by Kraftwerk came on.

Did some charity stuff with a bunch of 16-17 year olds and if they're the future we'll be alright.

It cheers me up no end to think there are a bunch of teenagers moaning about the Boomer who just does not get it.

Is nobody going to ask Rick what he got community service for?

It’s a good joke, though it is something I’m quite proud of. It’s through work and it’s aimed at improving social mobility (albeit via mentoring so minimal impact on the issue but hopefully some impact on the actual kids, though who knows if it does help).

It was a bit heartbreaking hearing some of the stories and their enthusiasm for taking photos of the office as it was so fancy.

They’re on for good grades so we’re basically trying to give them the a bit of help with the polish middle class kids have to get into decent jobs that reflect their ability, so it’s something I give a sh!t about.

Bought a pair of cycling shoes on ebay.
Seller sends me a note saying thanks and he'll pop them in the post tomorrow adding my fore name.
    Made me smile that did.

I never provided my name nor made any enquiry.

Ebay provide the seller with the buyer's name and address so not entirely surprising.
Unless you use an alias? 😉

My employer does something similar around educationa and inspiring kids in Tower Hamlets.

I believe this is quite common amongst the banks

Though it took me 14 minutes to find the live visual stream on iPlayer (on the ios version on iPad and cast to tv, the tv version of app refused to show) watching Coldplay live sesh on R2 live in concert. Such a good band. Seen them multiple times, though last one was Emirates stadium in 201n something.

'Course didn't get tickets to attend, more chance of winning the mug punters' lottery.

Live music = good. I feel my selections may differ to Mr BT OTP, but watching that made me happy. Now, if I'd actually been there...

Finding a spare set of keys I'd mislaid for days, and was about to replace.

I knew that they must be in the house, but having searched in pockets, bags, under seat cushions, no sign.

Then I went for a ride this morning, and there the keys were, in the 'other' helmet I use for proper rides... they must have dropped into it, then I hung it up on its hook. Didn't think to look in there.

And notice that there is light rain falling. Shouldn't, but it does.

In one way is not a cheer, in another it is.

Death last week of John Miles, multitalented. Sad, RIP.

The cheer factor: remembering I saw him perform with Tina Turner on her farewell tour, Budapest September 1990. Great event. And interesting times. Was the collapse of the Soviet bloc, Hungary had gone 'independent', though there still were Soviet troops in barracks in town. Multiple trips to Budapest on a consultancy project, aimed at helping the particular financial institution transition into the western world way of operating. Though most of the smart graduates on staff were looking to get stewarding jobs on Danube cruise liners and the like where they would be paid X times more, in 'real' money.

    Part of life's rich tapestry.
