Hang on, so some of you are calling out the BBC. Well, why not try GB News instead?

The BBC seemed perfectly happy to have him working for them for 25 years!

I'm also in no doubt both of you would have watched his shows over the years.

The BBC obviously has an unimpeachable record on the people it employs.
How long was Saville on the beeb for?

Well yeah, but... at least they had a religious affairs editor to put things right... Martin Bashir... oh, hang on...

Also as for agenda bias, couldn't the same be said for many outlets?

So boring boring tv news is supposed to be fairly unbiased / objective and the written press can be as partisan as they like from a regulatory perspective

Because they had seen that Boris had traded away NI.

Of the TV news providers? Not really. They're all quite dull. Maybe C4?

The print media is another matter.

The Beeb had the excuse of being formed in 1922 and not long after NI became part of the UK.

What the hell is that supposed to mean? A fly trap for which type of people?

Surely the majority of people pick and flip between media resources getting balance view.

No. I'm sure anybody on the internet picks from a variety of resources, along side what you consider to be the media.

The first Wokewatch episode should be amusing.

Especially as it would have to lead with Boris telling the G7 that they need to build back in a fairer, greener, gender neutral and more feminine way.

Twitter is having a meltdown about GB News also. Lots of lefties who've spent the past 18 months hiding behind their sofas are now wetting themselves that people who don't share their world view are getting more choice about where to get their news from. Tremendous stuff.

It’s a good laugh, mate. Relax.

You’ve got some news that won’t trigger you every 15 seconds - of course it’s tremendous for you.

I don't know why you are making judgments when it has only just started and you haven't even watched it yet?

I'm a hundred percent sure somethings you will agree with.

Sounds like an echo chamber to me. I thought those were a bad thing? Or are they only a bad thing under certain circumstances?

Not watched it yet but the Guardian has already given it 1 star out of 5 , which probably tells you something. People on here criticising it before it had even been broadcast.
Perhaps a liberal mind is now actually a closed mind.

Or perhaps right wing echo chambers are still just as crap as they always were?

Given Rick's (admittedly limited) running through of Neil's positions on big topics, why anyone would value his position as a talking head is beyond me!

Having said that, he is an entertaining interviewer...

I can't help but feel that what makes TV news have to turn towards a lack of balence and towards partiality, is simply the amount of airtime they have to fill.

I think what some people seem to not like is the premises GB News is pro UK. This goes against their EU vote stance where consequently they are stuck in a mindset of knocking the UK at every opportunity.

Well true to populist form he kicked it off with “Now is the time to do news differently. We are committed to covering the people’s agenda, not the media’s agenda.” which is populist enough, but then they're using people who are all from the same Westminster lot as ever.

it's best if you don't take it too seriously. I turned it on and they had Lord Sugar being asked about taking the knee and he started going on about his knee op

Obviously! Being wary of a partial news challenge clearly means you hate your country.
Although for the avoidance of doubt, maybe you could show your workings.

What's confusing is that the people on the side that threatens the break up of the UK, re-starting the NI troubles and doing long term harm to the UK economy... Have somehow convinced themselves that they are the patriots.
