Agreed. Also, most new bikes, with their single colour frames and cockpit, look so dull and uninspiring. Yes, they are superb machines but that is all they are. No soul.Not a Giro Hero!0

The Record titanium 8 speed groupset (including a titanium cassette) I bought in '97 went 10 years flawlessly (bar a few chains). There was some lament when I sold it.
The levers were Chorus but again, flawless.
