I've managed to avoid any understanding of what ladbaby is beyond hearing a bit of their unfathomably popular previous Christmas songs, but I have just read that they/he/it are likely to have a number one single with a sausage roll based version of Do They Know It's Christmas.

If it happens, I now believe this country is not worth trying to save, and it should just burn.

But it's for charity, that means you are a horrible person!

Music charts are completely meaningless in this current age. I doubt I could anme more than 2 or 3 number 1 singles from the past few years.

It's worse if people are actively choosing to stream this filth rather than just buying the record.

I realise that I am old and out of touch. Do the young even care about charts these days?
Can't remember any references from the grand children.
The above may be fact, or fiction, I may be serious, I may be jesting.
I am not sure. You have no chance.

The bots are back in town. Again. Access a 10yo thread, interpret, post, try to generate response / engage in 'discourse'. Test runs ahead of political spamming in more important places?

Boiler condensate pipe freezing meaning no heating. It's officially cold. 🥶
On a brighter note I managed to fix it without having to get a plumber.

Feels like a undemental flaw in a heating system when cold weather stops it working!

Easily solved with a bit of pipe insulation.

This will be done. Think we've had it 8 years so it survived the beast from the east.
Oh, and for @pinno it was just some hot (not boiling) water and a boiler reset.

My coffee machine - in an attempt to avoid any warning lights whilst brewing I try to make sure the water and beans are topped up and the grounds container is empty. However, the warning for the grouds container seems to be based on the number of uses rather than any kind of sensor in the container itself so I regularly find myself having to take an already empty container out of the machine and reinsert it before it pours my drink.

The weather going from being a little chilly to gusting 55mph+ and heavy rain. Rather it stayed cold.

Yeah this ^. Calm and -4 degrees was much better than windy and +3 degrees.

The increasing ubiquity of "I get you" as a response to a justified grievance, before the speaker going on to ignore everything that they apparently 'got'.

The latest catchphrase on the BBC vox pop “everyone has the right to strike and I support their case but…” followed by something about why they shouldn’t be striking when it causes inconvenience to the person being interviewed.

Ultimately if Unions are going to strike doing it to cause maximum disruption makes complete sense so if you’re supportive of them striking you’re supportive of them inconveniencing your plans.

Far too many moans on here are far from trivial.

Fishmonger and restaurant down the road.

In massive white writing on a black background on the main shop sign.

Foreign owned with a literal translation from their native language? Or just some tools trying to be trendy?

Town full of pedants you'd think it'd go down badly, but they charge a fortune and are always full.

Do you go into your local pub to complain about misuse of apostrophes?

  • You should go.

Food, service and wines are amazing.

The fishmonger itself is also very good.

Those prices seem reasonable compared to my village pub.
