Nothing to do with doping, but it's nice to see the BBC reporting a proper scandal. Where is the commons select committee about this?

do they receive government funding from the DCMS ? are there things the DCMS can change/learn/do better/regulate as a result ? have you lobbied your MP to bring it up with committee ?

Would that make it double Turkish delight?

Dobriskey & Weightman might be in with a shout in a few years.

Dobriskey will be getting a medal at this rate.

EDIT: beaten to it. So I'll add I hope she also gets an apology from those who said she was a 'bitter loser' for her post-race comments - which have been proven 100% correct.

It was a much more ridiculous performance than their "winner".
15 seconds off PB before London.
The good news is that a Russian steps onto the podium.

As Yorkshire Raw says in the post after yours, Dobriskey was spot on

The double standards at the BBC at the moment are appalling. Sharapova and Man City actually get done for a doping violation and Alex Ferguson is given almost God like status for the tactics of bullying and fear he employed to get results.

It was ecstasy. When asked why he wasn't playing West Brom said he was unfit and overweight and quietly sold him to Stoke (who they did tell)

Was it officially announced by FA or UKAD ? Can ecstasy be used as a masking agent for anything ? Does any part of the WADA code allow for a 8 week ban ?

No. I doubt it. No idea (but Ullrich got 6 months for doing E)

Have a heart, he was made a scapegoat by the FA as he plays in the Premier League and obviously hadn't meant to take it as it wouldn't have been enough to get high so what would be the point of that? Only saw a brief snippet of an interview just now but he didn't seem to be getting interrogated half as much as a cyclist would for being in a 'grey' area not breaking any rules.

That was a long time ago, the rules must have changed. Under Wada, you can take ecstasy and amphetamines out of competition. It's an FA ban.

Thanks for the info. Seems the FA like to keep some of these things hushed up, but with some drugs used as a masking agent it can be hiding other things.

It was only a small amount taken though, because of the small amount found in his system.......

Masking agents are banned both in and out of competition.

I'm hearing disturbing rumours that a player in a winning team in Hockey Wales Challenge semi-final may have taken several ibuprofen before the match.

His apparent excuse is that Requiem for a Dream was in Film 4 at 1am and he had a couple of Duvels in the fridge. And also he has a dodgy achilles due to being fat.

I think Damien Collins needs to haul this man before the committee to answer questions.

    Still we won. 5-2.

Exactly! Being a winner (at least an English-speaking one) is 100% diagnostic of doping!
